I mean if he beats Conor in the rematch, what will this do to his legacy?

To whose legacy?

To Aldos? That he's as good as Conor.
To Conors? That he's as good as Aldo.

Something like that, I suppose.

He's been unbeaten for so many years that I don't think his legacy is tarnished, so it's good. If he beats Conor in a rematch, better.

i'd think a ton of people around here jumped the gun on the "aldo is done' talk...

The thought of going through a build up for a 3rd fight makes my head hurt

Word. I'd like to see them fight again, but I can't handle another couple of months of promotion. I don't want to see their names together for a long while after two big media build-ups and countless hours of argument and analysis of their every move on Sherdog by our resident body language PhDs that led to a combined fight time of 13 seconds.

I pretty much shot my Josay wad (literally) when he lost me a bundle in thirteen seconds.
And afterwards when he was so salty.

Got nothing for him now

that he can still claim that GOAT status if he continues his run

Depends in the manner in which Aldo wins. A sound ass whipping over the course of a 5 round decision speaks more than a 13 second KO in my opinion. I'm sure it would result in a trilogy unless Conor left for LW. A victory would be nice for his legacy but after a successful reign as his was, it won't or break or make him.

His Legacy no idea.

But i think you would have alot of guys pressuring him a lot more. There is a few people who fought him with 0 intent to win.Lamas and kz come to mind.Chad and conor both tried to take his head off and its why they were his hardest fights

I picture this, only with more tears.

It'd be impressive, no matter how he did it. I think Aldo's going to have to rely on his leg kicks pretty heavily in the rematch if he wants to stand a chance at winning, he obviously can't do the brawl thing with Conor.

Even if he loses, Aldo is still the FW GOAT.

But if he wins, it puts him right up there with GSP, Anderson and Jones as the PFP GOAT.

if he loses again - that's where his problems will start

His legacy is secure regardless of what the result would be but it would be nice to see him win so that the haters who make out like he was overrated can eat crow.

I hope he dosent. Conor is better for the FW division.
