If it really was Pettis' last fight in UFC, how will you remember him ?

Apparently Kawa said it was his last fight. So i guess he'll may go to Bellator ?

He has a fantastic resume : Beat Bendo twice, subbed Melendez, Oliveira, Miller, Chiesa.. Ko'ed Wonderboy and finished Cerrone when he was on a tear

Underrated grappling skills, so dangerous on his back, solid standup with maybe the best kicks in the UFC with Yair, Wonderboy..

Share the love for Anthony SHOWTIME Pettis sherbros

Don't know how he dropped from greatness so fast after losing the championship... hmmmm.....................

Always a pleasure to watch a guy that has great striking and great submissions. Ill remember his crazy level of competition.

Pettis doesn't have the best UFC record, but that's because he came into the UFC as a top 5 fighter (basically). He earned a UFC title shot as a WEC fighter, for those that don't know. The Edgar/Maynard 2 draw fucked him. The Guida loss set him back a bit, but he still had to fight only great fighters. You won't find one name on his record that you don't recognize. Morono is the worst fighter he's ever fought in the UFC, and he is not bad at all. Morono was 7-4 in the UFC- all as a WW. It was a very hard fight, and that's Anthony's easiest fight on paper. I wish him well.

In his prime he was must see TV. He had a unique style and was one of the best finishers in the sport. He struggled with injuries and became stagnant. He probably should have switched gyms. Overall he had a great career, but there’s a chance that it could have been even better.

Remember him?
I’ll be watching him wherever he signs.

Lack of heart and a bit of a poser.

Always mentally quit when it got tough

He should have ditched that big Doufus Roufus. I think stagnation is what Pettis really suffered from. Never got better or evolved. Just a flashy TKD guy with a triangle and arm bar off his back

a lucky fighter without much heart and gets psyched out when it really is "showtime" but the dude has had some cool moments for sure

I remember him for the Showtime kick to close off WEC, and his really impressive UFC title run. He is one of the most exciting fighters to watch.

The lowest point of his career was when he brought in Greg Jackson to round out his game. Too many coaches, too much information to process. He had a connection with Roufus so getting rid of him might not have been the right idea, but he definitely needed a proper boxing coach to improve his footwork.

There was a run when he was so good that I thought he might end up as the LW GOAT
