No, whoever wins is deserving of a title shot.

I like Gaethje's newfound counter striking here and have been praising it since before the Fiziev fight, he seems to have the feet to track and counter Poirier's pressure as Gaethje shown in his fight with Fiziev and T-ferg. Poirier's angles are also going to be hard to counter, he does a great job of attacking off of subtle angles unlike Fiziev and Ferg who seemed to charge in and out so while I think Gaethje will be able to match the angle defensively for the most part I still think Poirier will land his unorthodx strikes from time to time.
I don't know who I'm picking to win but this rematch won't just be a outmatched Gaethje throwing hooks and leg kicks praying Poirier goes down charging into a blind hook but Gaethje will actually be capable of disrupting Poirier's bursts and throwing punches of his own in well timed combinations. This fight may be another FOTY contender since both men do their best work best dishing out damage. This fight will also be far more technical than the 1st fight since Poirier and Gaethje have both seemed to refine their games more.
