If Floyd fights in MMA his boxing record is still untarnished.

This is one of the biggest factors for me along with the money factor.

If Floyd decides to make the switch and lost, then why the fuck would he care as much ? He still has one of the greatest records ever in the sport of boxing. If he can make a shit load of money in another sport and avoiding a blemish on his record, then why the fuck not, there is nothing really to loose. He lost in a sport that he was always going to be the underdog in whilst making a fuck tonne of money. Thing is imagine if he won in UFC and started a winning streak, it's not totally out of the question he probably has way more chance of winning in UFC than Conor did in Boxing.

The more i think about it (as crazy as it sounds) this could actually happen. I thought there is no way Conor Mcgregor could fight Floyd Mayweather in a Boxing ring but yeah he did, even if it was a carnival.

i can't imagine actually being retarded enough to believe floyd would ever fight in MMA, even once.

why would he want to lose in the end of his career tho? wouldnt it tarnish it atleast a little bit? go out safe with ur 50-0 and be remember as a goat for decades...

instead you think he'll chose to fight some mma scrub which most likely gonna smuggle him for a win? na... its just big talk

so if he plays basketball, his record remains untarnished?

well, I doubt James Toney lies awake at night agonising over his loss to Couture. as for the rest of it doubt it'll ever happen

Anyone with a brain would respect the hell out of him for even giving it a try. Floyd is just teasing tho, still the biggest name in MMA <45>

I’m not concerned about his record, or legacy. It’s his life I’d be worried about.

This is a VERY BAD idea.

People would always remember him getting his ass kicked in the octagon if it were to ever happen. People have always longed to see Floyd "get his" and now their wish would be granted.

Plus, Mayweather has always been very cautious about his health (hence his defensive style), would he really wanna risk eating a roundhouse kick or getting dragged to the ground and pounded with elbows at his age?

Vanilla Ice got knocked out by Willis in celebrity boxing and nobody has ever considered Vanilla Ice a joke.

Obviously. Although there would still be video of him getting his ass whooped which is bad for his brand

Lol I think he was pretty widely considered to be a joke before that happened

There's about as much chance of Floyd fighting in UFC as there is of GSP fighting a top 3 middleweight.

Plenty of idiots here were fooled by GSP so i'm sure plenty will buy this Floyd talk

It's very simple.

NO ONE believes that Floyd can win in MMA.

Everyone knows he would lose and lose badly.

So why not make 300mil from something we already know ?

Floyd is fighting in the UFC 100%.

Well, it will tarnish because it will then be a real fight!

Do you guys seriously believe Floyd will step inside the octagon? L M F A O.
No fucking way.

That was just Dana's way to generate some headlines and buzz for the UFC.
