If Fig beats Moreno, do they have to have a 4th fight?

It's FLW, there's literally only 4 fighters (that are even remotely interesting) that should rotate fighting each other for top dog status. Fuck it.
125 is actually kinda evolved now and there’s some style matchups that would be great. I used to not care about 125 but there’s some fantastic fights there since CCC retired.

even with the point deduction I saw Fig winning the first match

Unfortunately they would, and this is why immediate rematches and immediate trilogy’s are so dumb

You spelled heavyweight and light heavyweight wrong

Hell, lhw might only have two.

This one was a dumb move to begin with, so probably another one wont hurt.

I hope Moreno wins mainly for that reason. Not sure why Fig got it in the first place. He got dominated in the second fight and didn't have a crazy run as champ. I'd assume Askrov vs France is for the next title shot, especially for Askrov if Moreno wins.

If ass-karov wins (again) it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny him again

I was happy for Moreno… but I think Fig destroys him this time.

Yes!

It needs to happen might even give ufc an extra year to go find some actual talent to add to the division

Not sure why they are having this fight. UFC wants the Mexican to be champ. He won twice but the running it back again right away.
Maybe it was in the contract.

I’m not even stoked for this 3rd fight but if Figueredo wins, you have no choice but to do a 4th fight to break the tie. However, it shouldn’t happen right away. Let the winner fight somebody new and they can rematch down the road.

Would probably depend on the sales for this fight if Fig wins. I just want to see Moreno plow through Fig and have his rematch with Askarov

I don’t think there is any FLW fight that does any real numbers. No matter how you match the division up. It’s the same with women’s 125, but neither of these division is being asked to headline a card. They’re used to beef up the PPV’s. I don’t think the UFC really cares if they do a Shevchenko/Chookagian rematch or a fight against Talia Santos. Hardcores will be mad, but neither fight moves the needle otherwise and it’s not being asked to headline a card.

Chookagian kinda disrupts the division so if they feed her to Shev again maybe she’ll go back to 135

Fig should've won the 1st fight, so if he wins this one it looks like the 2nd was just a fluke. Which based on how well Moreno suddenly did compared to how bad Fig suddenly looked, is the question we're all wondering anyways.

I wouldn't say no to a 4th fight at some point, but I'd come away thinking Fig was the better fighter who just had an off night in the 2nd fight and wouldn't really need to see it again.
