If Demetrious Johnson was the same size as Jones, would he have beaten him easily?

This is literally what pound for pound is supposed to mean. I've always thought it was strange to rank any higher-weight fighter near the top of a pound-for-pound list, because they are literally already the bigger guys. The whole point of pound for pound is supposed to be to discuss the hypothetical of who would win if everyone was the same size. If everyone was the same size, MMA would be dominated by the fighters currently fighting in the lower weight classes. The current heavyweights and light heavyweights would be nowhere to be seen.

The answer is most likely yes.

Jon Jones would still win

No human in history can defeat Jon Jones in a fight
Jones can easily defeat most fully grown adult animals too, including tigers, elephants, lions, bears etc
A silverback gorilla would be a very tough test for Jones, but with his fight IQ and grappling technique he can outsmart them and win

Yes, DJ would be the best heavyweight alive by a large margin if he was the same size as Jones.

That is if his power and strength equally scales up while his speed remains the same.

It begs the question of whether he should be a lot slower if he also got bigger and stronger. But even if he was slower I suspect he'd still be the most skilled.

DJ would be very limited if he would have been Jon Jones size.

He won't be able to do all the crazy shit he does cause he would be too big and heavy.

Jon Jones have adapted to his size, he is also more skilled and smarter than DJ(by a short margin tho)

MM's athleticism won't carry over in HW with that much bulk. He would still be faster than most but he would be moving at MW speed.

we don't know what DJ would look like at that weight. obviously his proportions of arm length vs leg length, etc would be different than it is now. Jones has very long skinny legs, so DJ would like be a bit shorter than him.

jones is undefeated and has fought way better competition. dj lost his belt flyweight and lost multiple times at bantamweight (Cruz, McCall, Picket). Dom Cruz 50-45'd him. I can't imagine jones ever getting dominated like that by any HW.

Which one would sell less? Would MM still be put on Fight Nights that no one watched

jones is heavier
if mighty mouse was a HW or LHW he wouldnt be the same fighter
even niel de grass tyson would agree
its pyhsics
plus jon jones had better competition and harder fights
the only man i think that has the potential would be cain velasquez
hes a HW but strange he moves too fast with an unimaginable gas tank, imagine velasquez being in a smaller division
i would love to see cain vs khabib
cain vs gsp
omg its only a fantasy fight

Brandon Moreno would beat Jones if they were the same size. Small fighters are almost always better than big fighters p4p. It's why the p4p lists are kind of pointless and not really accurate anyways.

There are heavyweights who are technically based
