If DC beats Volkan and the current HW champ

In a recent interview Cormier has said 2018 will be his last year competing and he has a few more fights left in him.

IF Daniel Cormier were to beat Volkan, perhaps another contender (maybe Gus), the winner of Ngannou x Stipe, and then retires where would you rank him at as a GOAT next to GSP, Fedor, MM etc

I could very well see him winning all three of those fights and in my opinion would be a Top 3 GOAT.

Too bad Dc would get ko if he ever fight stipe or ngannou.
So no.
But If is sherdog version of Dc then he could manhandle any hw in history of mma with ease.
 
I don’t think he could beat Stipe.

If he did though. He’d have to be pretty high on the GOAT list. Top two, or three for sure.

But, it’s not happening.

Yeah, if Ngannou beats Stipe then I have hard time seeing him lose to anyone in the UFC but you can't count out DC's wrestling (which I think he could strongly impose against Ngannou who's been taken down multiple times).

He should have to defeat HW contenders to earn a HW shot and not just get an auto shot. That shit is fucking stupid every time they do it but i think DC is going to be top 5 at lhw for a long time after he retires.

If he does that, why would he only be top 3 and not the ultimate goat? Who would u put ahead of him?

Because you could bring up the Jon Jones fights, but if you aren't including those fights for obvious reasons then yeah he would for sure be #1 GOAT.
 
DC needs to fight Gus again. If he wins, move up to heavyweight to fight one or two of the top guys. If he loses to Gus, then have a rubber match.

Losses to juiceheads don't count.

GSPs loss to Serra was legit. He got finished too.

I have GSP as true GOAT atm.
 
Cormier has had a legit career. Finishing off with two titles would put him up there with the Best of the Best. But beating Stipe or Ngannou would be a huge test. Would pay to see it.... :)
 
He'd have to pull of some great wins to shake the off the JJ specter whether that's fair or not.
