If Daniel Cormier KO's or Submits Jones can we all agree the first fight was a fluke?

Shit happens you know?. The first fight was competive bt Jones clearly won. If Cormier could have gotten 3 out of the 3 close rounds than he would be champion right now, but lets say there is no doubt in this next fight and Cormier KO's Johnny boy, will there be any doubts left?

A rubber match would be best at that point, assuming Jones can win a fight or two first. Jones is one of the greatest. Often times a long-time champ is given a rematch. Franklin fought Silva twice, Silva fought Weidman twice, Weidman was going to fight Rockhold twice, etc.

Usually best out of 3 is how these things are settled, and usually a decision win is considered very close if not equal to a KO win. For example Arlovski vs Tim; Arlovski subbed him, then in the rematch Tim got the KO win, then in the rubber match Tim won by decision.

No Jones' win over DC in no way is a fluke, just like it wouldn't be a fluke if DC kos Jones. These two are the best in their division, is normal.

You don't be beat someone by decision over the course of 25 mins by "fluke"

We can agree that simpletons don't understand what variance is or how it works

No way. First fight was a legit win for Jones.

If DC wins then it should be Glover vs DC for the title and Jones vs Rumble finally damn it.

No. People throw that word around way too fucking much.

That doesn't make sense. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Jones beat him decisevly in a 5 round fight, and beat him in a complete and comprehensive way. What if Jones is winning the whole time, and DC just catches him out of nowhere, and wins like that? Would you be saying the same thing?

And I want DC to win, just pointing out the flaw in your logic.

Standards for fluke decision are much higher than for fluke ko or sub.

Might win stupidest thread of the day

Jones truly bested DC in the octagon. Nothing will ever change that.
Now the rematch will mean everything, let's just watch and see
