I always thought JBJ/DC II would headline UFC 200. After Jones's comeback was finally officially announced, I figured I might have been wrong afterall. But, as soon as the Conor/Nate shit started, I knew I was back in the game for this prediction. I just couldn't envision a scenario where 200 was not headlined by Jones and Cormier. This is the biggest fight the UFC can put on right now, unless a GSP-for-the-title return was announced (and this was well before Bisping's win), so why waste it on another card?
UFC in New York is going to sell. It almost doesn't matter who is on the card, it's going to sell. Shit, a Fox card at MSG would sell out the venue and a PPV would sell based on the novelty of the location, alone (at least once). Throw a championship fight on there, and especially Brock Lesnar, and you are golden.
I thought I was going to eat my words there for a short while, but Bones/DC II was always meant to be on UFC 200 (even if it wasn't).
