I believe Colby is really overrated, just a bad version of McGregor's trash talk, with no major striking skills. On the other hand, RDA is as good as it gets: striking, grappling, toughness.

So, even if he losses to RDA, if it's not a beatdown, he would "win" with this defeat?

Colby must win to fully legitimize himself similar to Conor. If he loses, he won’t look credible at all and will be looked upon as a fool who can’t back up his talk. Honestly if Colby is hungrier than RDA, he will win.

he's 30, he still has a couple of years in his prime. he could lose but he would definitely come back strong
 
I mean to the people who think the guy just sucks he can further prove he is pretty good. To prove the doubters wrong and earn that #1 spot he has to win convincingly though.

i don't necessarily think he sucks. i don't think he has good striking and i suspect he doesn't have great submission skills, but i think he has decent wrestling, a decent gas tank, and heart.

i think his combination of wrestling, cardio, and heart can take him a long way, it already has. and he's not a complete retard like Gaethje so he can definitely make waves, but i don't see him as any long lasting champion if he even gets the title at all.

All dat ^^^ True... Colby is not even rated to me right now points given for Maia fight but if you were that badass you would've finished for all his chat. RDA as been in the Big fights with named fighters knows how to win/lose. Colby in one of his many sound bites said

"I want him to fight emotional be upset"

RDA is a professional fighter been there, done that. If he's expecting a emotional Dos Anjos he's already lost. You can still lose the fight and win fan respect in a good fight there is that for him.
 
this is a must win for him.if he loses this is probably his final title shot or else he will have low ppv numbers.

He'll gain a ton of respect from me if he beats or is competitive with RDA

RDA is the first elite opponent he's had who isn't a fantastic matchup for him. He pulls this off I'm taking him seriously as a contender

thats true, but his whole horrible schtick will be lost. Hell look like an even bigger tool if he keeps on with these antics after a loss. Itll just be annoying, white noise
