If Both Canelo and GGG are the same why can't GGG fight at 155?

Many of you guys here claim they are the same size, if that was the case why is it that one guy can make that weight and the other cant? Could it be cause one fighter is bigger than the other? And Yeah I know what division they fight in but if GGG wants this fight he needs to adhere to Canelo's stipulation on the match.

Canelo is the A side GGG is the B- side or C+

Because it's fucking chicken shit to not fight at 160 you're essentially the lineal goddamn Middleweight Champion

Or maybe it's because GGG is 34 and it's harder for him to cut weight than it is for the younger Canelo. Extraordinary idea but maybe Canelo could actually take a fight at 160lb where he is a champion against another 160lb champion? Canelo had a reputation for taking on all comers but he is running scared from this matchup.

GGG doesn't need to adhere to anything. He has been the interim champ for Canelo's MIDDLEWEIGHT belt for two years now. Meaning he has been waiting for his shot at the belt for 2 years now. Canelo has to fight him at MIDDLEWEIGHT or he will be stripped of the belt and GGG gets it automatically. It's pretty obvious GGG cares about the belt. If he chooses not to let De La Hoya and Canelo bend him over then so be it. I would love to see them fight but I would much rather see a fair fight then the shit they are trying to pull. I think it would be a great match and could go either way so trying to drain the mandatory opponent below the limit of the weight for the belt is ridiculous.

If you really don't understand that some people are better at draining themselves then other guys are no one here can help you. The last fight I saw GGG get on the scale for before entering the ring was in his ppv and he weighed 170 pounds. Last time Canelo got on a scale before entering the ring he weighed 174 pounds. So it's pretty obvious both guys are about the same size.

that is like DC asking jon jones to fight for the LHW belt at 195 pounds that shit doesnt make sense i mean you are the champ of that division so fight on the division

Canelo as 30 days to accept the fight or get stripped, I hope he does or it will make him look ridiculous.

A MW boxer should be able to weigh in anywhere between 155 to 160, it's BS that Canelo is demanding that the fight be at 155 only. Imagine if Conor forced Diaz to fight at 147 for the LW titleshot.. It's bullcrap and no one should be defending Caneloweight.

i think GGG can make 155, i also think Canelo can go up to 160

most importantly i think Canelo wins either one

but if Canelo makes GGG go down, its going to make him appear alil bit weak

Still trying to find what Canelo's fight night weight was. Anyone know it?

I wonder how many more times this exact same question is going to be asked?

Everyone knows why. Its because the star always makes the lesser fighter do shit he doesn't want to do. Stop asking this shit over and over again.

Bingo. Canelo cut weight to fight the bigger draw Floyd.
Now GGG hasto do it for Canelo the bigger draw.
If GGG wants that money then he will oblige.

I think Canelo is taking a page out of Mayweather's book of "running away" from GGG for another year or so just to generate this from a HUGE ppv to something even bigger than that. Of course it cant get to the May V Pac level but it can still be a huge PPV that really puts the winner as the face of boxing.

I also think Canelo, much like May is waiting for GGG to slow down a bit, get hit a bit more to make his life easier. It worked for Mayweather...

Why does the name Mayweather always creep into every thread.l?!

Because he and pac paved the way to lucrative paydays while draining fighters. They set the example of making demands and it paid off for both of them.

you know what lets just call it the Caneloweight division. Fighting for the caneloweight belt.

i remember when roy jones moved up to HW and made Ruiz weigh in at 175. Serves him right, who is Ruiz compares to roy - that's how belts work. It's not a belt for an actual set number of pounds it's really just a popularity contest.

Ok I got it out of my system.
