If Arman can’t be the guy to get this done then there isn’t another guy at 155 currently who bc a beat Islam. Oliveira is the top contender and got thoroughly destroyed last time, Chandler now lost and Hooker and Poirier both got finished. Guys like Moicano and Pimblett have some potential but not enough to beat Islam. Unlike Khabib Islam will not look to retire ASAP. It’s a good problem but I think he will rack up several more title defenses and retire as champion.

If Ilia's wrestling can hold up, he could potentially score an upset. He has speed, power, seemingly (but still untested at that level) excellent wrestling, ground game seems to be on point too. But beyond Arman and him, i own know who can actually do anything to makhachev. He's too skilled everywhere. Oliveira's only chance is if he takes the fight to the ground on his terms, ie take Islam down. The only fighter who's ever taken Islam down is Arman. So yeah

So Islam Went from a guy with a 10 fight winning streak and people said he doesn’t deserve a title shot to a champion who’s giving title shots to guys with a 1 fight win streak(Volk rematch, Dustin, Charles rematch).

I don’t think things are as simple as that, I think it comes more down to a specific fighters style and whether it can cancel out Islam’s, I’d really want to see a Islam vs Rafael Fiziev matchup in the future.
