It could be a pretty cool year for PPVs. Of course you need more than three fighters to main event the next 8 months, but any combination could be solid.
Conor vs. Khabib
Conor vs. Tony
Khabib vs Tony
That’s three solid main events with fighters who may be at the peak of their hype.
As it is I doubt we get even one of those this year.
How it will probably play out is Khabib vs. Tony finally happens sometime next year or possibly at the tail end of this year (if it happens at all). Conor has another boxing match or retires. If Conor actually returns to the cage either Khabib, Tony or both are then way down on the pecking order for money fights with Conor and neither fight probably ever materializes.
