If Aldo beats Edgar will he get his rematch with Conor or will they deny him?

We all know that the only thing keeping Conor relevant is his win over Aldo. If Aldo gets his rematch and beats Conor then the whole Conor mess gets damaged even more then when Diaz beat up Conor. He would then have nothing. Conor will have gotten beat by Diaz twice and then beat up by Aldo in which the common theme is that Conor can never ever lose to Aldo because Aldo was never any good and can never win. This would be the absolute worst scenario for Conor.

When Aldo beats Edgar does the UFC give him his rematch or do they somehow sidestep Aldo? How would the UFC do it if they decide that they don't want Aldo getting the rematch?

conor is not going to make that weight cut again. as far as having "nothing", he'd probably have 20 million somethings and still be a draw by going to 155 which is a far cry from nothing

I dont believe Connor will ever fight at 145 ever again.

How can they deny him when Conor loses to Nate? His options then become either defend his belt or keep taking non-title fights at 155.

I think the UFC will only make Conor drop back down if it's their very last option.

The FW interim title will likely get defended before the other FW title and eventually be promoted to undisputed.

Yea Conor is looking too solid at this point.. If it happens, it only happens at 155 IMO.

If the Chinese sale goes through, McGregor/Mayweather might actually happen. It would be a horrible farce, but it could happen, and he might just retire if that goes down.

Connor chases the money from this point forward in his career.

If Conor loses again, I think the 'money' fight he'll have left is against Aldo. In any case, if Aldo wins and if McGregor is unwilling to fight him again, Aldo should call Nate out.

I don't think anyone can challenge a champion before an interim champion ts.

If he does win, the UFC has to give him a re-match. Dana, runs the show, so we never know....

if he stays at 145 for sure. If Conor decides not to stay at 155 then it's hard to say unless the stars realign

He won't. It was borderline with the use of IVs and now it's definitely not happening. Nate is going to throw the fight and Conor is going to get his 155 title shot.

You can't actually be serious...

Weirdly in the back of my mind I think the UFC is going to try and pull a quick one with either reffing or the event or something that will throw Diaz off, maybe even pay him out.

I realize there is a lot to working a fight like that but money is money.

The thing keeping Conor relevant is that he is a divisional champion and unbeaten at FW in the UFC. The Diaz rematch is silly and from a divisional integrity POV it's pointless, but it will make money.

If Aldo beats Frankie (and I really hope Frankie cleans his clock) then I think Aldo will get a rematch. The only thing stopping an Aldo rematch in that case would be Conor vacating his title and leaving the division. That's possible too, the cut was never easy for him and he looks bigger now than before.

I'd much rather see Frankie vs Conor personally. Frankie gets a chance to be a multi-division champ, Conor gets a chance to silence his critics and the fans should get a great fight.

I dont think they'll fight again. I believe Aldo could beat Conor, but the possibility will close off after Edgar beats Aldo, which I expect to happen. Aldo is one of the true greats of the sport, but I think he's been slipping for a while, and is not the same guy he was 3 or 4 years ago. Being at the top for so long ages you.

If Conor is to defend his FW title then yes Aldo will get his rematch since he's the interim champ
