News 'Iceman' Chuck Liddell off the Hook

by law, if a domestic abuse call takes place, the cops have to arrest one of the two parties.

I don't know about Liddell being off the hook.

He wasn't doing any real work for the UFC, and simply collecting paychecks... that's why he was let go.

It was well known that he didn't manage things properly, and seemingly had some kind of substance abuse issue.

Chuck had to fight Tito for a paycheck, and looked absolutely horrible doing it... Chuck seemed punch-drunk even before getting hit, and could barely keep his balance.

So, I don't know. Even with how he handled all this. I don't see his wife making any public statements, saying any negative things about him... meanwhile Chuck absolutely threw his wife under the bus - calling her mentally ill publicly, and then asking for privacy to deal with personal family issues during this tough time... then filing for divorce.

I don't know... I don't know... But it's not like Chuck's life has been great leading up to this. The general consensus was that he was broke and fighting Tito for coke money... so, while I don't think that's 100% the case... they simply has to be some truth to it.

We don't know all the build-up leading to this arrest, but it's not like Chuck Liddell has been leading a good wholesome life.
And, my personal opinion, saying his wife has mental health issues in a public statement to try to clear his own name... isn't something I can respect at all even if it is true. Not something a man would do imo... Each to his own. Wish the Liddell family the best...

This.

So Chucks girlfriend beat him up and scratched him up and it wasn’t the first time.

And Chuck gets arrested and released with no charge?

It sounds like only Chuck was punished.

when someone calls the police about a domestic disturbance someone goes to jail. It doesn’t matter evidence if nobody is harmed someone goes to jail.

you can do this to anyone if you want to a horrible person and have them go to jail or there name in the paper.

I pay no mind to allegations like these until all evidence is presented. As it just takes a vindictive person due to jealousy or being a psycho to call and you will go to jail. For no reason.

Lol at “wish the Liddell family the best” after you made a bunch of assumptions and made Chuck out to be a POS based on nothing.

“The general consensus was he was broke and fighting Tito for Coke money”

Lol wtf is wrong with you? If he was broke and addicted to cocaine he would be homeless right now

Through the grapevine? He said it himself for everyone to read on social media lol. He didn't have to do that unless he was extremely pissed off at her.
He said that because people like you were making him out to be a wife abusing scumbag

What should he have done? Said nothing and let his reputation get destroyed?

dude. You need to get off of social media. You know so many details about things you know nothing about , about people you don’t know.

man social media has retarded mankind.

you state intimate details based off conjecture on people and things you know nothing about. But that’s normal today so I guess good on you.

He's not pressing charges and was apparently volunteering to go with the police.

I guess it makes sense if the goal is just to separate the two until things cool down.

Police always have to take at least one of the two in domestic violence calls...they don't chance that shit at all...

So Chuck probably figured it was less destruction to the house holds routine if he went then his wife most likely and less stressing for the daughter probably...

Good call all the way around by police and chuck...

Hope they can solve there issues or amicable spilt and not return to such incidents as it will only get worse each time... escalation is guaranteed

And they never fill in the unknown details with something positive, they always assume the worst.

Show me where I ever said he was a wife abusing scumbag? I said that about Jon Jones.

Yeah, seriously. It's not even a big deal. Police just needed to separate the two. If chuck volunteers, it just makes things easier for everyone.

Some people are acting like he went to prison or something, lol.

You have like 20 posts saying in different ways his story doesn’t add up, implying he’s guilty lol.
Nope. It's way more nuanced than you want to paint it. What didn't add up was that he said he wanted to protect the privacy of his family but then blurted out the private information that his wife was a mental case. A lot of information was missing at first, but when it trickled in, it became clear to me that this was the situation:

1. The Lidells were out to a party and returned home early in the morning.
2. An argument ensued which turned physical to some degree.
3. The cops were called.
4. When the cops arrived, they found no physical evidence of a struggle but one or both said there had been a physical altercation.
5. With no physical evidence, they must have blamed each other because the police could not identify the attacker/who started it.
6. They told the Lidells that because they had admitted to a physical incident, they had to take one of them in.
7. At this point Chuck, thinking of the kid/kids, says he will be the one to spare them the trauma of seeing their mother led away in cuffs. (I completely agree with this)
8. He spends the night in jail and the media blows up about it.
9. On his release, he is still hopping mad at his wife and unloads on her on his social media, saying she is completely to blame and has ongoing mental problems. (Which is probably true imo--but not that he doesn't)

And that's the last time I checked in on the story. If you want to dig into my posts and present some contrary evidence (which you should if you are going to wildly accuse people of shit that you "don't remember but...", feel free.

It’s funny going through your posts because they’re literally all about Chuck/Jon’s domestic abuse shit. Why do you enjoy this so much?
There's no joy. Jon's been a stain on the sport for a long time and I have always been advocating his release from the UFC. I was probably among the first here to do that. Chuck, the story just didn't make sense until the information was available and I believe that he is probably mostly right in this situation. Given the facts available, I don't believe he beat his wife, and never said so. Jon, yes I do believe he did punch/beat his girlfriend and that he needs to be locked up and cut from the UFC--taking into account his extensive rap sheet--with no further deliberation.

And furthermore, You don't see that kflo clone @Fioretti trying to argue the point anymore because he knows I'm exactly right on both accounts. I'm not always right, but in this case the truth is on my side and the post history will prove it if you care enough to check.

I just asked you to apologize and admit you were wrong. Your refusal to do so only shows how immature and deluded you are. I proved you wrong several times, and now the full story has unfolded just like I predicted it would. I didn't know you two were going back and forth, and I don't care to reiterate all the same shit I said before. It's already been proven to be correct, and you want to just stick your fingers in your ears and say "lalalala". That's little kid shit. Carry on, Pony Boy.
