News 'Iceman' Chuck Liddell off the Hook

Glad to hear this and hopefully Chuck stays out of trouble for good. And yes, people should never rush to judgments unless it's something about Jon Jones.
It’s not about Jon Jones it’s about track record whether someone gets the benefit of the doubt.

"...told prosecutors that she witnessed Liddell and Northcott pushing each other."

Cool that he didn't beat her, but it's still not normal to shove your girl during an argument.

They were shoving each other.

Just to add a bit to this:

Chuck has since come out asking for privacy, but he did mention that the police were originally going to arrest his wife and not him. He asked to be the one arrested so that his wife wouldn't be arrested. He's basically shielding her from building a police record that could be used to drag her through the mud. The police were going to arrest his wife because it was Chuck that was struck by her, not the other way around. I don't know, but I assume Chuck was simply removed from the home and released without spending anytime in a jail cell or even having a police record created.
Yep. In DV, they gotta take SOMEBODY.

Bet money chuck was like damnit if you gotta take one just take me

I don't know the facts.

The case is dropped.

Divorce was filed.

... but it's ok to come in here and call him a wife beating coke head?

Sure.
I'm just pointing out the contradiction that you started your post with "no one knows what happened" followed up with "they are likely toxic to each other"; how are you going to state that no one knows what happened then start making assumptions on the nature of their marriage?

I guess suggesting that a couple that argues/fights isn't acceptable

... but people coming into the thread and calling him a wife beating coke head is totally fine?

I simply said we don't know. And my SPECULATION is just that... not some blatant insult or statement that is defamatory.

This.

So Chucks girlfriend beat him up and scratched him up and it wasn’t the first time.

And Chuck gets arrested and released with no charge?

It sounds like only Chuck was punished.

He wasn't punished. Chuck asked to be the one removed and charged to protect his wife from charges since she doesn't have a criminal record. Chuck didn't want his wife in any kind of trouble, but in a domestic situation police won't accept just leaving the situation unresolved - they will insist someone has to be removed to separate the individuals involved... . They knew the charges would be dismissed.

I believe this situation is more common than people think - as long as the physical altercation was not very serious, the people involved are cooperative, and the police are reasonable people - and with Chuck being a celebrity fighter (who isn't known as a troublemaker) the police are more likely to work with him and ignore minor marks on his face

Except that's not what you suggested, you alleged that they were toxic towards each other.

I never said it was, but that's beside the point. What I am talking about is you criticizing others for jumping to conclusions yet you were guilty of doing just that in the very next sentence.

Potentially accusing someone who may have done nothing wrong as being "toxic" isn't some benign remark.

I'm just going go leave here.

Anyone else find it odd that people can come in here can call Chuck a wife beating coke head without any proof, but if I suggest maybe the couple (that has cops called or called the cops for shouting) should separate and go about their ways isn't a logical solution to a problem?

What the fuck is this? This shit is like high school logic -- OMG DID YOU HEAR? Well, sure I heard, then I waited to hear the truth.

If this was Rich Franklin, his forever black eye could keep the woman in jail for years! (No disrespect to Ace, but we all know about that constant black eye ;)

Refresh my memory
Lol. I don't remember what you said, but I remember you jumping to crazy conclusions about Chuck and also coincidentally were obsessed about Jon's incident. It's almost like you enjoy shitting on people when they're down.

And when you can't even admit you were wrong it proves you don't care about victims or whatever BS you convince yourself of... you just enjoy feeling self righteous while shitting on people.

So we're looking to derail this thread and start some problems. Okay then...

probably scratched his own face. Fakers do it all the time

You're probably kidding, but the daughter was a witness.

There's actually validity to this statement, whether he was joking or not. Both men and women inflict marks on themselves quite regularly (in these scenarios) to either avoid getting arrested, or to try and ensure the other party is the one that goes. It's fucked up, and the responding officer(s) have to make a judgment call on the spot. Most times it ends up with the male arrested, regardless of who has marks.
