I'm pretty sure that was going on long before '21. The main difference between this Administration and the last seems to be due process. Biden wanted more Judges to more expeditiously hear these cases while Trump wants to use an obscure Act to deny these asylum seekers due process.

BTW, I'd wager that every one of these swine who wasn't a member of the Proud Boys, or Patriot Front, or some other fascist street gang before the Trump regime started inviting them into their ranks was probably a mall-cop, or some other flavor of rentapig.
