So apparently the two guys killed him because of a prison debt, not because he was a nonce.

One of them was a drug dealing murderer and one kidnapped and brutally raped a lady in her 50s.

Let’s not glorify them. Not as scummy as Watkins but still pretty scummy.

And both murderers will receive extra sentences on top of what they are already serving. So they won't get the chance to hurt innocent victims for a long time.

Yeah, IIRC female staff at the BBC headquarters were unofficially warned to never let themselves be in a room alone with Savile.

One of the people involved in breaking the Savile story claims they have knowledge of another beloved celebrity who committed even worse crimes. But they won't release details because of potential legal action.

My guess it was more a perverts quarrel or a past due protection toll rather than somebody being outraged by his crimes.

Peel would have definitely been fucked by those YewTree investigations if he hadn't have died a decade earlier.


Hell, a lot of guys who are still revered like Jimmy Page and David Bowie weren't afraid of the odd 13 year old groupie.

Whilst not in the same hemisphere as Watkins, 25 year old rock stars fucking underaged girls was basically an accepted fact in the 60s and 70s........for whatever reason society have largely given them a pass, even in these sensitive times.
