Media Ian Garry thinks he can defeat Khamzat Chimaev

Burns and Usman were both sure of the same thing... Ooops! ;)

He could ask Neil Magny who did better, Ian in the actual fight or Borz in the gym.

I can't stand Garry, I also wouldn't pick him to win. However, he is right about the cardio

Khamzat is great at crushing cans, but he's got some flaws.
Ian Garry and Conor Mcgregor both bring shame and disgrace to the Irish flag. I am sorry your beautiful nation has those type of people representing the Irish flag

I am not a Khamzat hater, in fact quite the opposite. I don't know who would win, but I will say that Garry seems to be taking his career a lot more seriously.
Yup. Got a tough fight on his hands tonight tho.

Sheet at WW i'd might pick Neal over Khamzat if they ever fought lol

If he can get out of the first round there's a real possibility.

Khamzat becomes like 30% of the fighter he starts as once he goes past 5 minutes.

Why folks think Khaz is this MW monster who will just crush everyone.

He's fought 2 legit contenders . He struggled to a close win with Burns and got a decision when many had it a draw v a off couch smaller Usman.

It's not like Khaz is just climbing ladder smashing everyone. He smashes cans an journeyman/,gatekeepers. Struggles with legit fighters.

Khaz likely beats Garry but a guy like Cannonier, Costa, Iz, Bobby , ddp beat him or even a full camp Usman imo beat Khaz.

I see a lot of people beating Khamzat because of what you said.

If Chimaev killed himself making 170 …I could see it

This guy will fall harder than Roger Huerta the minute he fights top tier talent. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t lose badly to Neal.

at WW maybe...I don't think I'd pick him to win but he'd be a live dog. He's big, athletic, and seems like he's got a solid gas tank although we've never really seen him have to push himself. His grappling is still a mystery as well

at MW I feel pretty good about about Khamzat winning

To be honest, I like his attitude.

And I also think his assessment of comms that is correct — "But he gets tired ... and I don't."

That statement right there will prove to be Khamzat's downfall, the moment he faces a legit middleweight, and especially if he ever faces Alex Pereira.

Maybe. Chimaev is a monster in the first. That’s about it, it seems. So ironic considering after his first few fights all the gym stories were about his god level has hank.

Why not? His striking is most likely better, and his grappling is supposed to be pretty good too?
