Media Ian Garry says he has signed a contract to fight Colby Covington, but has been waiting over a month for Colby to also sign it

Who would win the fight?

Bro Colby should retire and never fight again. I'm not a fan of him at all. I'm in this thread because I dislike Ian Garry and I think he's a complete fraud. I don't want him to get a freebee fight against the corpse of Colby.

I want to see him fight Sean Brady and get exposed.

This will probably never happen - Ian Garry is an investment for the ufc at this point and they want to get their return. Sean Brady would fucking slaughter Ian Garry, they don’t want to give Garry anyone who has looked good lately.

He will end up getting Burns, Wonderboy or Colby next. Wonderboy and Burns are shot to hell at this point, I’ll reserve judgement on Colby as he fought Leon his last fight and to compare Leon to Garry in anyway skill set wise is laughably retarded.

That's exactly why I hate Ian Garry.

I might be in the minority here but I just don’t see how Ian Garry beats Colby. People bag on Colby for not winning or taking fights but Garry should arguably be on a 2 fight L streak himself.

He also doesn’t present many problems for Colby. Garry lacks power, athleticism, wrestling and is only a slightly better striker than Colby, he also doesn’t seem to be improving and has hit his ceiling as a fighter judging by his last two.

I really really don’t know what the UFC or anyone else sees in Ian Garry for him to be getting this push besides an Irish accent, he isn’t a super talented fighter and will NEVER hold the belt with guys like JDM, Shavkat and Belal around.
It seems you have more confidence in Colby than he has in himself.

I doubt that's how fight contracts work. They just sent him a contract and then sit and wait for over a month?

Does Garry have some clause in his contract that says he can only fight old guys and guys coming off losses? Dude is on back to back razor thin snoozer decisions against lower ranked older guys.

Literally zero people want to see that fight.

Ian Garry just knows the only chance he has at fans is to beat the other most hated guy on the roster.

I read an article that said the same thing. Looks like Colby is doing everything he can to duck and fight wonderboys corpse instead.

RE the fight - I'd predict Colby thanking war veterans to a chorus of 'boooh' after he's lost yet again.
Well, Colby is old too.

Wonderboy makes perfect sense for him at this point of his career.

Rather than fighting an up and coming Contender, who the ufc probably wants to use Colby to build him a name off.

Did you see Colby in his last fight? The guy is done competing at a high level.

Colby from 2020 easily UD’s Gary, but he has lost the cardio to pressure like he used to.

Ian Garry is pretty polarizing. Hate is just as good or better than having fans.

Hence why he chose to play the villain in the first place even though he's a nice guy behind the scenes.

Building a name and becoming more marketable isn't about being liked.

It’s good as long as you’re winning.

This isn’t the WWE, they don’t pay guys who are unlikeable to stay around and fight.

In the UFC, being a fan favorite is far better than being the heel.

A guy like Colby managed to be the heel, but still appeal to a certain audience.

I don’t think Garry “played the heel at first.” He was just naturally unlikely whenever he had the mic, trying to emulate McGregor. I’m also not sure if Ian Garry has any group he appeals to. Once he starts losing, he will be kicked to the curb fast.

Colby's time is up. I hope he's saved and invested his money. No more TS for him.

Despite this video..............

I would never pick Colby against anyone. GO IAN GO REEEEEEEEEE
