Media Ian Garry says he has signed a contract to fight Colby Covington, but has been waiting over a month for Colby to also sign it

Yeah that’s always a possibility but I’ve been shitting on Colby for not fighting an up and comer for awhile now so I can’t be too picky.

Honestly though I think this is a good fight for Colby in terms of getting people interested in him again. Many of Colby’s fans even soured on him after that performance against Leon but Garry might be the only fighter in the division that is disliked more than Colby. A win over Garry would likely get many of his fans back on his side and would be a pretty good win in my opinion.

The problem with your logic is that Colby is basically the right fight for everyone in the top 10 looking for an easy win.

So Ian Garry is a coward.

Then he should retire.. The man should be removed from the rankings he has held that position hostage for a long time and he is unwilling to fight contenders but freely and happily occupy that ranking. There is nothing cowardice about Garry but Colby is the biggest ducker in UFC history.

He has ducked Chimaev, Burns, Belal, Shavkat, Leon and now Garry he has ducked any credible WW who wanted to chellenge him
 
Colby has to fight again eventually, I think he'll sign on.

Usman/Brady & Colby/Garry for 311 in Anaheim. Leon/JDM for 312 in Sydney. This would be perfect.

LMAO Colby is the one coming off a title shot and known for rank squatting while ducking top talent. How do you think his ass is going to get out of the top 10 without feeding him to someone who isn't washed? No more ducking. No more gifted matchups.

Lol at the Colby stans like this guy still angling for their boy to get easy matchups. You guys had zero issues with Colby when he was the younger fighter getting gifted matchups with old Maia, old Woodley, old Masvidal etc. Now after a career of rank squatting and ducking you'd deny the new crop of rising contenders the same opportunity to fight a veteran with name value. You guys are hypocrites.

Where are you getting that from? The poster I responded to is saying Garry should fight Brady, he'd want Colby to fight someone like Wonderboy.

Much of the Colby stanbase have pivoted from shilling for their boy to get undeserved title shots to now seeking easy matchups for him and attacking the younger fighters who want to face him.

Yeah my bad, I misread it when I saw JDM & Brady's names mentioned.

I agree though, it's time to serve Colby up to a younger contender. He can't hold a top 10 ranking and avoid all callouts from everybody except old guys.

But can we blame Garry for still wanting the fight? It's not even about rankings for him, Colby did talk a lot of crap about him and his wife so this is a "grudge match" more than anything
