"Man weight," haha. You probably shouldn't be talking about understanding weight classes
You sound fatYeah, man weight. Sean is fighting guys like Dricus, while Garry is fighting guys like Neil Magny.
Strickland would look like a ko artist if he fought Garry.
No, I see how lame he is just fine. Just like I see how fake Sean's act is just fine. And just like how I see what people who unironically use phrases like "beta", "soyboy", and "cuck" are like just fine.
My eyes are good
Lol, you do know Strickland fought most of his career at WW, right?Sean fights at man weight. Ian would be put on his back foot immediately and then beaten up and finished within a round.
What is it about weight classes that you do not understand?
Among other thingsYou sound fat
Lol, you do know Strickland fought at WW, right?
You can pretend that he's way bigger than Garry if you want. He isn't.
I don't think he's acting. I just know the wanna-be alpha tough guy exterior that he and people like him put on is thinner than paper, and Sean's already demonstrated that. Shit never holds up to testingWhy do you think it's fake?
Ugh. Sean is being a disingenious fuck with the way he's being a morale police now after talking about plenty of fighters wives, mocked Khalils depression, mocked a dead girls record etc.... But I think i'd still root for his ass if this fight ever happened.
Both are trash. Moving on.
When is the next UFC card? This TMZ, days of our lives shit needs to stop and mods should consider a Strickland merge thread. Toxic shit going on right now.

Agreed, but people of that mentality don't ever seen to afford that kind of thought towards situational toughness. They think it's all or nothing, and hold a shitty "standard" they can't matchMeh, it's just double sided, IMO. I think he can definitely be tough in certain tough situations, especially physical situations. But not so tough in other situations.
There are many forms of toughness. Like it's tough dealing with a bunch of rebelious kids as a teacher or a parent, which takes a completely different kind of skill set and toughness, than fighting.
Or dealing with internet trolls can be tough for some people, as is often clear on SD. Again a different kind of situation and a different mental toughness needed.

You seem to have missed the part where Strickland, like Robert Whittaker, was beaten out of the WW division.Yeah, man weight. Sean is fighting guys like Dricus, while Garry is fighting guys like Neil Magny.

I'll give him the credit that he's not trying to be a Andrew Tate like influencer, and has more of a reason to be a douche than he does. For whatever that's worthBut I think he is still honest about it if he doesn't live up to his own questionable standards. Like I'm pretty sure he said he fought like a bitch in the fights that he just coasted and point fought, basically.
I agree, that it's way too black and white and simplistic how he often talks about "man stuff", but honestly that's how most people see "man stuff', to an extent. He is just more loud about it.
It's also a consequence of all the trauma he suffered. The intense emotion inside him he feels he needs to keep in check with very strict/absolute standards, which leads to intense situations. It's hard to be nuanced when you come from a very unnuanced background. But he at least seems to be trying to change for the better, but that's a gradual and slow process.
He also says he is not someone people should look up to. Even though he seems to preach manliness and stuff.
He is aware that he isn't the epitome of what he considers manliness either.
