CM Punk is a big name that brings a lot casual fans in. Of course he's by no means is a legit fighter but with him being in Chicago (hometown) and him losing would be bad for business because a 2nd bad outting for him will get the fans disinterested in seeing him fight again. If he wins then of course people will pay to see hin fight again. I'll bet they'll pay Jackson a ton of money, like "you won't ever have to work again" money. I just have a funny feeling about the whole thing... I'm rooting for Jackson btw

They are amateurs for sure. I just think Mike Jackson is the better amateur. Younger, better athlete, has been around real fighting for a longer time.

Plus, Punk makes Ronda's striking look good.

True on all accounts, but some people make it seem like Punk is fighting a real pro and has no chance.

I just watched all the Mike Jackson footage there was on youtube and he is a horrific fighter, but probably too tough to be taken out of there by someone with as little experience as Punk. A bum fight decision for Mike Jackson is what I think will happen unless CM Punk still looks like he doesn't belong there at all.

1. UFC already showed how much they cared about their "integrity" by signing him in the first place. Hell they have Overeem taking the back seat in the prelims and have Punk on the main card because they think he'll sell more.

Its not WWE guys...the hometown hero doesnt win in real life..its a tough fight for cm..i dunno whos going to win but its not going to be fixed i can tell you that..no1 who wants to do MMA full time ( mike jackson) wants a loss to a ex pro wrestler on his record not a good look..there not going to pay him a huge amount of money hes a nobody to them not worth the investment..the ufc is just trusting and hoping CM comes through for a potential mikey gall rematch or vice versa if mike wins then they do gall vs jackson 2..no need to fix up the fight..CM Punk will bring the fans whenever or wherever he fights if he chooses to contuine..he has a loyal and big following
