Chael said those tests are like 40k each and with the high amount of tests...Not to mention the loss of PPV sales from all the canceled fights and wasted promotions
Athletes participating in Olympic sports are subjected to year around USADA testing, they aren't just tested during Olympic years. Team USA wrestling, archery, judo, badminton, water polo, etc. sure aren't paying thousands of dollars per individual test.No major sport has this level of sustained, random Olympic style testing. Olympics, once every 4 years. Tour De France, once a year.
UFC? several times a month, per event. It's crushingly expensive for the USADA agents to travel and administer surprise random tests, on top of the lab fees, not to mention fights that are canceled because of it.
So it's not the UFC any more? That's WME's prob now
So it's not the UFC any more?
Don't say shit I would expect an elderly lady to say ho.Don't technical sass me boy
Did you look at the official banned list? Im willing to bet your using a deodorant, a toothpaste, or headache medicine that would flag you and pull you from a fight. Cleaning up a sport is one thing but jesus some of it is ridiculous40,000 LMAO
It's expensive but it also provides legitimacy to a sport often referred to as cock or cage fighting. It's probably more needed in MMA then any other sport considering the growth stage of MMA.
We all knew this could happen in the 1st year or so as the athletes adjusted their protocols around the new testing and an evolving pit bull in Jeff Novitsky. This guy is no joke and he is not stuck in the past. It is his passion to stay up to date on new PED tactics.
Athletes will still cheat, but it becomes harder and harder.
