They were still in their early 30s, with way more experience than Jones, and they were all former LHW champions at some point of their career
Is bader considered one of these champs? Decent win, but being double champ in Bellator says more about bellator than about bader

shogun rua coming off his 3rd acl injury in 3 years when he fought jones, never won 2 fights in a row legitimately for the rest of his career. Went 3-4-1 from 29 to 32 after losing to jones

rampage went 1-5 in his last six ufc fights, Rashad L, machida official W but we know it was an L, hamill W, Jones L, Bader L, Glover L

machida was a middleweight who weighed in at 204 against jones, 201 against bader in his next fight, and 202 against Henderson the fight after that

TS did mention "Using the criteria of a W on their record over a SIGNIFICANT fighter, regardless of how it came, DQ, injury, bad decision, if they lost to the same guy 5 x's later, or when it came, too early in the guy's career, after they were shot, etc."

But still, even with all the things you listed, I still beating those 4 guys in one year is still impressive

Who would you consider to have had a better year than 2011 Jones?

Ye I know the criteria it’s just the guy you were replying to made the point that they were past their prime or middleweights and you said they were still older and more experienced. Bader wasn’t really, atleast not in the same way the others were
“But still” I mean, wouldn’t you expect a champion to be able to dispatch guys like that? Imagine if rampage had taken an official L against machida, then beat jones, then still lost to bader and glover. That loss to a guy like that would have been awful for jones, compared to as an example a loss to Islam on volks record is acceptable cause of how good islam is (or atleast how good we think he is right now)
The machida thing, I legitimately saw some people saying that Islam only beat volk cause he weighed like 7 pounds more than him, which is a complete guess and probably bigger than the truth, but 180 is only 3.9 percent more than 173. 225 is 10 percent more than 205, almost a tripling of the different

shogun at the time would have looked like a great win, but like the islam loss on volks record we had to wait until shoguns career developed more to see how good he actually was, and officially that 3-4-1 over the next 3 years is 3-5 with a second loss to Henderson who was in his 40s and also weighed about 20 pounds less than shogun, but it’s clearly a draw when you watch it

We have a winner! @Cobra 03 I would argue that Hendo has the most impressive lists of fighters under his name......I include Renzo too.

I'd argue that @RonDante has the second best answer. As they share some same victims but Bader has Fedor and Nog... of course Jones has Bader hung up on his.

i think you can easily argue that GSP's collection of Penn, Hughes, Koscheck, Serra, Fitch, Condit, Diaz, Hendricks, & Bisping is superior to jon's as well.

finally props to @IloveTHIS for putting up Mousasi- the room includes Lombard, Cyborg, Manhoef, Hunt, Souza, Henderson, Belfort, Weidman, Macdonald, and Machida, I'd say not quite the same level of big game hunter as the top few but a prolific hunter for sure.

I'm in no way arguing that Hendo or Bader are the goat or any nonsense like that...but if you look at the list of who they beat..based just on the status they have in the history of MMA..i'd say those are your top trophy rooms

Oh and I get that Drunken Meat Fist compliment a lot, we must look like each other....I find reading the name of the TS helps . Cheers to everyone that answered or added to the convo.

Jones has a Rua, Rampage, Machida, Evans, Belfort, Sonnen, Teixerra, and Cormier on the wall

You could argue for some of his other victims being up there too, depending on your opinions of them. will argue latter that this is not the most impressive collection

I know that the thread is literally about scalps with no asterisks but one can't help but notice that half those guys ended up fighting at MW. 'Percentage of defences against guys who did not belong in the weight division' - that's gotta be another record for Jon.

Sakuraba!!

Royce, renzo, mezger, rampage, randleman, Ken shamrock, vitor, newton, funaki, minowa!

Deserves a mention!
