Sometimes neat looking stuff turns up there.

The thing about scramblers is that its important to take a good clear look at the bike you're starting with and look at the road you'll be riding it on.

A slow ill handling dog that looks cool, won't feel all that cool to ride when you're constantly avoiding accidents with it.

I have a XR650L that I swapped the fronted for USD forks, etc. It made it a better dualsport bike.

The Suzuki DR650 is probably a better starting point though, since you can get them cheaper, they shift better, already have an oil cooler, handle good on the road, have a cush rear hub, and mostly just need suspension work.
