Man I having alot of issues getting hyped for this Suga/Merba rematch. But at the same time I think Yan/Merab would be even worse given how badly Merab dominated him. I know Corey got beat by Umar but I still think that would be alot more intersting than what we are getting. I also would have like to see Pantoja move up. I honestly think Pantoja is the only champion on the roster truly deserving of going for a second belt.

Cory just fought in May.

You think Cory should've got a title shot from losing a title eliminator? I don't think most will agree.

He can have the next shot now that he's coming off a win if Merab is looking to fight soon (assuming he beats O'Malley). Otherwise the situation will get more complicated if Yan beats McGhee in July.

If Yan wins his next fight it's hard to deny him a title shot. He's already knocked off two legit guys since the Merab loss and we all know he beat Sean too (at worst it was a coin flip). Does he have to clear the whole division?
Corey has the benefit of being a fresh matchup but he needs one more W imo.

Fresh match. Sure. Why not. I really want to see Sandhagen vs. O'Malley though.

Ya'll sleepin' on Patchy. After he gets revenge on Bautista for Aldo, he's getting rocketed straight to a TS.

What you got against Corey's bro?<Moves>
Nothing, I just think he'll get smoked and as of this moment he might deserve the next shot but bautista is fighting, yan is fighting mcgee, and If yan wins I think he should get it. I think if bautista wins his next fight, sandhagen should fight him. Then winner gets shot after yan

Wouldn't be mad at Yan getting the shot instead, but as long as Bautista doesn't get it.

You picking Bautista against Patchy?

corey vs sean was fine. merab just fought umar

I don't really like that O'Malley gets rewarded for sitting out for 8 months with what is essentially an immediate title rematch, but given the timing and situation he is the most appropriate opponent. I also think this is really Merab's choice to be an active champion and defend three times this year.

Corey should be putting in the work now, making noise to position himself as the next up for whoever wins this fight.

Pantoja, Cory, Yan, even Aldo (but they'd probably book it in Salt Lake, Tibet or on top of Everest).

Pantoja's done enough for a superfight. Especially at a moment when Merab's beaten the top contenders, except for Cory who lost recently (not that that should mean you can't have a title shot, if you're clearly top 5).

Plus it'll be interesting to see if Merab's pace is too much, considering Pantoja always looks tired mid-fight, but somehow maintains a high pace.

Yeah.. Line them up and let Merab knock them down.

Merab already dominated Yan. Throw Cory in there.. if not Mix after he dispatches Bitchtista

"Nah, Petr deserves a remath"

Is that you Mike Tython?

Cory committed the MMA cardinal sin, the same one that Mario Bautista committed! They both promised wars and laid on exciting fighters for a whole fight. Cory being the worst of the two, after saying most people don’t understand striking, and he’s miles ahead of the division on the feet. Then he had the worst 25 minute “win” in 135 history! Back of the line for both the fucking blanket boys

I'm not a fan of guys sitting out and getting title shots or rematches.

The only exception in recent memory would be Volk vs Topuria. If someone has defended their belt 4-5+ times and loses, sure they can get a quick rematch. But everyone else should have to win a #1 contender fight.
