He got hit with a couple of good shots from OSP. If he got hit like that by Rumble I wonder how his chain would hold up

Having said that, it's an understandably cautious performance from Jon

Depends on Rumble's cardio

I agree, though this looks like pretty much every post-Shogun performance by Jones to me.

He definitely is

This Jones? Oh yeah. He needs a lot more than oblique kicks to stop Rumble from taking his head off.

Rumble running forward is exactly what Jon wants. OSP circled like mad and stayed outside but Jones' outside game is better.

if rumble can touch your face he wrecks you. jones knows that so he will try that spider shit early and often

Rumble is a threat to anyone

If you can send your opponent flying across the cage from one punch you're a threat to everyone you face.

You don't think Jones is aware of that? Expect a lot of distance closing and takedowns from Jones if he fights Rumble.

If Jones wants to move up to HW he needs to learn some better boxing. I can't see those teep kicks keeping beasts like Miocic or JDS off of him.

Jones just casually walked through OSP 5-0 and was in zero danger the entire fight.

Saved by the bell in round 4, few more seconds and that would have been called.

Expect guys with a full year off to be a little rusty, but there was barely anything to criticize tonight. People are unnecessarily casting aspersions on OSP who did a good job fighting not to lose and hung in there.

Agreed, Rumble stylistically is an incredibly dangerous opponent for jones.

For 2 rounds Rumble is about as dangerous as it gets. Like OP mentioned Jones fought understandably cautious.

It is the fight to make no doubt
