I think Jones will leave UFC

He ain't going fucking nowhere, the UFC have him by the balls with the new deal even if he decides to retire.

And by the time the contract "expires" he will be too old and Francis will have drop a couple of fights against some PFL cans efectively killing any buzz left for the fight

I think Jones and Francis will travel around the country in an RV solving crimes. Wait, what's that -- Jones is locked into a long contract and has been avoiding Francis for the last 3 years? But I was so sure.... :(

I think Dana would still want to be involved in some way.

No way the UFC will relax Jones' contract to allow that to happen. They are not stupid. The fight will likely not happen.

Dude just signed a new UFC contract. He will end his career in UFC.

Jon Jones got an estimated 3 million base pay for the gane fight. He has 7 fights left on his contract.why would he leave? Why would the ufc release him?

You're nuts if you think JBJ is fighting 7 more times.

He definitely won’t finish the contract. But the ufc definitely won’t release him. He’ll probably fight 2 more times. But the ufc will just keep him under contract like they did with gsp

If he retires then he's still under contract with the UFC, so that's a big fat no

I think eventually, there is a super fight.

Co-promotion from PFL to UFC.

Dana can say it's a go and make PFL pay Frank whatever his needs are to make it happen.

It gets UFC the money with only half the fight purse to pay out.

Tend to agree but that contract sure as shit means you won't see him fighting in any other MMA or for that matter boxing organization either. Stipe's far more likely to find himself in PFL for one last payday.

Jones just signed a contract before the Cyril fight if I'm not mistaken.

The dude ain't going anywhere as long as the UFC has something to say about it lol.

How are they supposed to pay TWO guys who reportedly wanted many millions of dollars from the UFC to fight?

Jones will just need to fight out this contract, 7 fights in 2 years is possible for him then after he will be free from the slave type contract that the UFC forced on him

Guess after talking with Ngannou at the PFL event must have given Jones some perspective on how scummy the UFC is

I think I have has about as much chance of seeing Jones fighting down at my local War Memorial Arena as he does fighting in PFL.

It's a set 2 mil if he fights Francis, .
No it isn't "set". The most favorable interpretations said "up to 2 million". That's much different than "set". "Up to' means there are criterias. Lol Francis contract sounds much like smoke and mirrors. No cash now. A possible MMA fight over a year from now. A chairmanship to something that doesn't exist. Wording like "up to".

You sure it's not min 2 million? That's what it said in a few articles I just googled. here's an extract:

"He proposed the PFL would guarantee a baseline salary for Ngannou's opponents, and an eventual figure of $2 million was agreed upon.

"Pete brought it up," Ngannou said. "He said, 'We can even guarantee you the minimum salary of your opponents.'"
