When did Rogan or anyone else ever say he was a world class kickboxer ? He competed in TKD at a national level, then had a few amateur kickboxing bouts

He is supposed to be a world class kickboxer, but can't name a very simple punch. I've never seen Rogan display any kind if Kickboxing technique besides kicking kind of hard.

HE's a comedian who eventually got his BJJ black belt and TKD blackbelt when he was younger.

He's not an expert, he's just a comedian who got his fame through fear factor and UFC and his youtube shit

He was a very talented Tae Kwon Do fighter who had a kickboxing record of 2-1. He quit kickboxing because he had some head trauma from head strikes. Then he went to a Jiu Jitsu place and learned his Tae Kwon Do could do nothing to stop him from getting taken down, grappled, and submitted. So he quit trying to be a kickboxer and focused on learning Jiu Jitsu. He practiced his Tae Kwon Do kicking and flexibility on the side to maintain those skills, and can still kick harder than any of us can despite his age due to stem cell therapy and knee surgery's.

And Joe can do everykind of kick imaginable and was awesomely athletic when he was young. Now his favorite kick is the side kick, and the spinning side kick. He can land those two strikes with enough power to get GSP excited and fanboy over them.

I mean yeah, it wasn't as exotic of a technique that Rogan made it out to be, but I don't recall Rogan ever claiming to be an authority in kickboxing so much as a fairly educated fan that does commentary.
