I think Colby's cardio is a bit overated when you compare him to an Usman or Khabib

Your logic is terrible. You think speed = cardio.... it's hilarious

It's not contrarian. I don't get this logic of if you can go longer than me, I have better cardio than you cause I went faster for a short period of time.
It is contrarian, because you're not stupid. Yet you're pretending to be while liberally mixing in the old "you're fat" flaming points.

I never said once if I go longer than you then you have better cardio, because that makes no sense whatsoever. I haven't combed the whole thread but I'd be shocked if anyone said that.

I said if two people went an equal timeframe, whoever did more in that timeframe has displayed better cardio. If you run a marathon for 3 hours and I watch TV for 3 hours, you displayed better cardio despite the same time-frame being involved. Likewise, if two people go with the same intensity and one guy goes longer, he has displayed better cardio. It takes more cardio to sprint for 2 minutes than it does for 1 minute. This isn't complex... at all. So let's move past the internet banter and drop the pretense.

Wtf we can trash Colby about other things but not his cardio.

Very few fight at the pace he fights at. His cardio is literally his best weapon.

Khabib almost always slowed in his fights and he lost the third round vs Conor due to being tired.

Jesus christ guys, I'm not talking about his skill set, I'm talking about his physical attributes, slow twitch= good cardio, fast twitch= explosive power but bad cardio, colby is slow twitch so he has good cardio, khabib and usman are on the fast twitch side but they also have good cardio, thus, khabib and usman's cardio is more impressive given the fact that they are also very fast compared to colby
Habib and Usman are slow twich .

All that smeshing and talking is hard work, Khabib actually looks to finish the fight and isnt a boring decision machine like colby.

There, is said it, colby has basically no fast twitch muscle, he's the wrestling version of Nate Diaz, he has zero power in his punches, like shockingly pillow handed, so ofc he can go at a high pace, usman and khabib are actually fast twitch is some regards, khabib is just fucked by his biomechancis, he has bad mobility with his punches but his straight punches are very fast and sharp, usman has actual proper ko power in his shots and can stay with colby's pace... khabib, especially in his earlier fights was a gnp machine, I don't think people realize just how insane it is to be able to grapple at a high pace, throw heavy gnp and then get up and strike like nothing happened, bieber was an absolute freak when it comes to muscle endurance. Usman is a less technical grappler but a bigger and stronger than khabib

So beat him

So if you throw real hard and gas in 5 minutes and I don't throw as hard and go 20, you have better cardio "cause I hit harder and throw harder"...

Is this really your guys' argument for better cardio?

I suggest you guys trying to act like I am wrong look up the definition of the word cardio and get back to me when you understand.

Uh no.
If one throws hard and still has a lot of gas, it's somewhat more impressive than one that doesn't throw many fully committed strikes and still has a lot of gas.

He's a better fighter than Colby for sure, I'm not convinced his cardio is better. Though like you said he was more aggressive.

Traveling around the world isn't far when you compare it to traveling across the galaxy.

So that proves his cardio is bad because he stood and strike for 1 round and tried to win a round via striking against Conor? LOL.

Conor tried everything to survive the first two rounds via cheating he still got 10-8ed and got dropped.

Khabib finished Conor in the fourth. When was the last time Colby had cardio to finish his opponent in the last rounds?

They say Nate has good cardio he couldn't finish Conor in the fourth or fifth round in the second fight. While Khabib did.

According to this, Colby gassed out against old RDA because he lost 2 rounds (first and fourth) and plus he couldn't finish RDA?

Khabib won every 3 rounds against Prime RDA. He didn't lose a round.

Colby lost 2 rounds against older out of prime RDA. If it was 3 rounds fight it was going to be 2-1 so its the same.
did I say his cardio was bad? There is a huge area between bad and him being the go to example for the best cardio. Khabib is obviously a more skilled fighter that's why he could manhandle RDA so easily, but that is not the same as saying his cardio is better.

He's been in the 5th round 6 times in a row and cardio has never been a problem in those fights, how much more proving does he need to do lol

just can't get over the fact that Usman is built like a bodybuilder and strong as shit

and also has the best cardio ever

looking at colby's physique and what he can do - his cardio makes sense

GTFO! Khabib had to take a round off against the cardio king in your av. He was 1 more stuffed TD away from losing to Conor via cardio. Some of you Khabib fans are delusional. He absolutely deserves his place in GOAT discussions; he doesn't have truly elite cardio though.

2nd tier goat at best.

Not anywhere near enough top 5 wins.

One of the most impressive strings of performances ever but without the top 5 wins he simply can't hang with gsp, Anderson, Fedor, Jones, mighty mouse and the other GOAT candidates.

Hes probably the number 1 probably-would-have-been-GOAT. And maybe even the number 1 almost-certainly-would-have-been-GOAT, had he kept fighting and racked up some more top5 wins.

Yeah, I have also never seen khabib throw punches at the speed of an elderly man either but here we are, I can see that most of this forum has absolutely no athletic experience, if colby was explosive while having good cardio he would be as impressive as khabib and usman, but he isnt thus I give the advantage to the two guys that can actually generate explosive power and speed while maintaining great endurance.
I'm SaYiNG FaS

I think Colby has better cardio than both. Usman sapped him with powerful bodyshots in the first fight, and controlled the pace with his power, but his output was never as high as Colby, and he doesn't wrestle as much. In the second fight, Colby was coming on strong in the later rounds, Usman was the one to slow down. Khabib doesn't have the same output either, it's hard to get a gauge for him though, because he hasn't really had any resistance in long fights. Was Iaquinta his only 5 round fight?
