Funny you say that lol. I actually went to the USADA website to look at the banned substances so I know which ones are legit. It lists all of the reasons why (I look for the anabolic ones)After the Machida case, who here has atleast googled to search benefits of DHEA to include in there routine supplement stack? I know I have.
Question is will you try DHEA ?
Someone add a poll please.
I lift weights regularly and have never taken any anabolic steroids or prohormones (not on a soap box or not knocking any that do, just my choice) but I have taken all kinds of over the counter supplements.
I've taken DHEA. A waste of money. i went through 1 bottle and never bought it again. I put it in the same category as HMB, Glutamine, Citrilline Malate, and other stuff that made no noticeable difference. If it's a PED it can't give you more than 1% advantage.
Caffeine, Creatine, Beta Alanine, L-Tyrosine, Taurine, Fish Oil, Vitamin D3? yes....these things help.
Stuff like DHEA? No, a waste of money in my opinion.
Yep. Read it is potentially beneficial in those over 30 due to a decline in hormonal secretion. Purportedly aids metabolism - weight loss was the most common usage, lean muscle gain was secondary. Interesting to me that it just hit the list in 2016. Doesn't sound very significant in respect to combat sports performance enhancement.I knew about it before and it's really just to balance hormones for older people and doesn't do anything unless you have a hormonal imbalance. Old women take it. I didn't take it because it doesn't do anything. There is a supplement called DIM that already exists in broccoli and cabbage that does a better job of metabolizing estrogen. I tried it before but didn't really need it.
