What makes you say that? Usman pushed him hard, especially late and that was a 3 rounder.

Just the feeling I get. He was prepping to fight Costa the first fight and was replaced with 2 weeks notice. He was coming off a long layoff and illness. He gassed early pushing for a finish in the 1st. I think with a full camp to prep for Usman's style he makes it look a lot easier. Usman would also be 2-3 years older and slower by the time it happens.

I still think stylistically Usman has one of the best chances to get it done. It would be a good send off and there really isn’t a ton of guys deserving of a shot tbh. Usman has a few fights in him left and if they can do a decent turnaround, I say do it.

Inactivity is the biggest issue with Khamzat’s career unfortunately. Hopefully that changes now that he has a belt and is allegedly healthy

Usman doesn’t have knees… I’d say give it to Strickland. Not that he has a chance, but he’s just been begging to have Chimaev trap his arm and have his nuts in his face.

Hope he wears the USA onesie too… he’s married now. No need to keep up appearances.

I think Imavov deserves the shot.

But anyways.. Khamzat has barely beat anyone at MW so he has plenty of contenders.

Kamarty should STFU and beat someone either at WW or MW to earn a shot.

He said recently he wants to win the WW back and go to MW and fight for the belt there. I guess he fights a contender at 170 next.

I like Usman at MW. I think he should go there. Nothing else to prove at 170.

re-watch did not look as "Usman dominate" as I remembered. Not really sure how you can beat Borgs after what he just did to DDP, I predict DDP does not lose to anyone else but hopefully I am wrong

I do think the Colbi was coming back when the fight got stopped. But it was very fun to watch Bucley beat the shit out of him.


Usman looked like shit vs Leon but he looked damn good on short notice vs Khamzat and vs Buckley when we all thought he was shot.

He is still good but I would like to see him put some more work before getting a shot at any division.

Imo just do Usman vs. Shavkat, if he somehow manages to win just give him a title shot.

Its been long enough Shavkat will need another fight before a title shot, pretty much everyone else is booked and Usman needs a huge fight if he is serious about trying to get a shot at the belt before retirement considering his age.
