Diego "The Champion" Sanchez has just been slated to fight Joe Lauzon in the upcoming months. Lauzon has taken a beating in his last few fights and has shown to just be a flash in the pan. The guy fades after round one, and that's where Diego specializes. The cardio department. Diego can fight for days, and is guaranteed not to get caught by anything in the first round.

Look for Diego to take Lauzon down at will, apply elbows, and press the ground and pound. Once he softens Lauzon up, he will begin to pick him apart in the striking department. This is a place where Lauzon has arguably been exposed by guys like Al Iaquinta.

I predict that Diego will finish it off with a high altitude slam late in the fight. Diego Sanchez wins via TKO (Slam) Round 3.

Ok This website is getting out of control when did his nickname become "The Champion" because the last I heard he said he was no longer embracing the nicknames he was just Diego Sanchez? Surely somebody would not give somebody the nickname "The champion" who has not been champion and Lauzon does not have a belt so when can we expect him to be "The Champion" ? Dam I am all excited

The matchmaking recently really bothers me. They threw Miller at Diego knowing Miller would lose, and now they are doing the same w lauzon.

Next theyll throw Hettes at Diego at 145 or some shit.

Agreed, it's the Nightmare. That's his nickname and the only title Diego has ever had was The Ultimate Fighter. I love Diego and Joe so it's going to be a fun fight between two great fighters who will never be Champions besides people's champs.

Two warriors. I got to go with Joe.

Lol at Blondiego!

I think he can beat Lauzon pretty easily...actually looked good & didn't controversially beat Jimbo(though it could have been a draw, either way Jim wasn't going to win).

Lauzon can always whip out a sub though.

I was with you until you said something about Diego picking someone apart. He has 60% punching accuracy on a heavybag.

That being said, I wouldn't be shocked at all if he won a decision.

Donny, is that you?

If by "crushing victory" you mean a completely undeserved decision given by incompetent judges, than yeah, you're spot on TS.

No way bro. I'm surprise the UFC is throwing Joe to the wolves at this stage in his career.

I agree, but as a fan, my heart is with Joe. Call it nostalgia...
Not to knock Diego, I love watching him fight.

Haha for real has Donny returned? I remember this Kos The Boss shtick. I hope this is him and not an impostor. I remember when he called the predecessor to junkie radio and told Frank Trigg he would lose by rnc......and then he did. Donny = Legend
