Hello again, buds.
For those who don't know or don't remember, I am a long time member of this forum. I made some bad choices a decade ago and I had to go handle up on them. I turned myself in in April 2019 after about 4 years on the run. I was released from prison this week after serving 2+ years on a 12 year sentence.
Some of you wrote me or sent books, and I sure appreciate it. One of you was genuinely the go between I needed to stay in touch with the outside world. You are an outstanding human.
I am happy to be out. While I was never in any extreme danger while I was in, although one has to tread lightly in a prison setting, prison sucks. It's flat out boring.
A brief FAQ:
My celly's name was never Bubba.
I was never raped (I know some asshole will bring up rape within the first 10 posts. You're hilarious, bud), nor did I directly see or hear of anything like that happening.
I did not join a prison gang.
I was never stabbed with a shiv.
I wasn't heart checked, but I did get into a fight, and I filled the damn cell with Mike Tyson uppercuts and turned dude's face into ground beef.
The food was trash (the boxes it was shipped in, no shit, said, "Not for human consumption.")
Even still, I gained about 40 pounds.
Yadda, yadda.
Enough about that. I sincerely hope you've all been well. Tell me how you've been.
And, aside from covid, Tiger King, bad politics, and freak show boxing matches, what did I miss?
