So... the pro-wrestling fans come out of the closet.
No tournaments and a lot of bullshit drama is "refreshing"?
I guess if this gets the money rolling in we'll see more "names", crossovers and less actual fighters (since a lot of Bellator's actual fighter talent doesn't even have English as a first language, let alone acting skills).
The "freak show" and pro-wrestling aspects of Japanese MMA certainly weren't what I liked about Pride...
Out of the closet?
What?
Plenty here have always been PW fans.
What?
They are doing something progressive.
What?
What? What? What? wHaT?
There's a wide variety of MMA fans. Some came to MMA from a background of interest in traditional martial arts or combat sports, and some obviously come from a background of watching pro-wrestling "sports entertainment".
This sort of thing tends to reveal who is who and highlight the differences.
"Progressive" in what sense?
It's only "progress" if you actually want to go in the direction it's heading.
what?
Progressive means new grounds. No other MMA promotion has done this kind of thing since pride. Trying new things = Progression
what?
The "what?" gimmick is about what I'd expect from a pro-wrestling fan. :icon_lol:
No, simply being "new" doesn't equate to "progress". Progression is moving towards a goal or an improved, advanced condition.
There is no way in which a move towards more pro-wrestling style of promotion and away from the sporting legitimacy of the tournament format is "progress" in my view.
Of course if MMA for you is just about the spectacle, the number of fans or the money, you might feel differently. You could always just stick to watching pro-wrestling though...
A lot of assumption and word blabble here.
I think you need to suck it
Well, seeing as you haven't managed to actually make an argument or express a clear opinion, I pretty much have to make assumptions about why you responded to my post.
Other than being a pro-wrestling fan you could always just be pointlessly trolling of course.
What... no more "what?"...? :icon_lol:
