I love the new Bellator

I don't have a beef with the idea of Bellator working the "entertainment" angle more, as long as they do it well. But that shit they pulled on Friday was terrible. Even Vince Russo would have been embarrassed by it. Scott, hire a new creative team now.

Bonnar cut a better heel promo than 90% of the WWEs roster

When people ask me what my favorite sport is and I say MMA they always say, "Oh is that like professional wrestling." And then I have to correct them and explain what it really is. But now, I guess I can just say, "Yes...yes it is very much like professional wrestling."
It wouldn't shock me if the Bonnar/Tito match ended with a McCully chair shot. It sounds like I'm being facetious, but I'm dead serious.

I don't find anything refreshing about fighters doing bad acting.

I was always able to spare myself from it by simply not renting movies that star or feature Rich Franklin / Randy Couture / Gina Carano / Rampage Jackson / Stephan Bonnar / BJ Penn / Chuck Liddell / Tim Sylvia / Lyoto Machida or have Hector Echevarria anywhere in the credits.

Now, I can't avoid fighters doing bad acting when I tune in for actual fights?

I am not refreshed by this.

The problem here is now when crazy stuff happens in Bellator we are going to have to sit here and try to figure out if it is fake or not. And unfortunately after doing fake drama like this the next possible step is fixed outcome matches. :(

And Ortiz's was as bad as it could possibly be. How have people not yet realized that giving Tito a microphone is kinda like giving a 9 year old an uzi?

I think everybody in the world has realized this except for Tito and Coker, who has a long history now of putting a microphone in Tito's hands.

As for Tito, he's like a degenerate gambler. He knows he has sharted out of his mouth every time he has held a microphone, yet he keeps attributing it to bad luck or bad circumstances, not a lack of ability to think or speak. And so he keeps ignoring the past, doubling down, and talking.

The fact that Tito is so bad on the mic makes it even better. More lulz on top of an already lulzy situation.

Tito was terrible on the mic, Bonnar wsant bad, the unmasking was terrible cause nobody knew or cared who he was so it got no pop from the crowd. but he was pretty good on the mic talking shit but then Tito came and ruined it. also the fake brawl ruined it.

If they just talked shit its one thing but the fake brawl made it too TNAish.

It looked like Tito shoved Bonnar out of marble-mouthed frustration. He was probably supposed to say a bunch of other stuff, but once he started tripping over his words in typical Tito fashion, he just expedited the segment.

I can't believe "unmasking Justin McCully" made it through the creative meetings at Bellator / Spike and into the final production.

That is so pathetic and meaningless. It would be like the Undertaker facing off against Brock in the WWE, and then somebody unmasks Paul friggin' Roma.

Paul who?

Crickets.

That is actually one of the best displays of intelligence I've seen from Tito, then.

He was actually able to recognize that shoving Bonnar was a superior alternative to speaking.

This shows a bit of promise for the future.

Tito is not good at that stuff either. He practically missed Bonnar with the shove and also failed at mean-mugging Rampage.

0/10 at speaking. 2/10 at shoving / mean mugging.

He still chose the proper course of action, though I agree someone should provide him with a third alternative.

You're glad the tourney format is gone? because that is the only thing "new" about Bellator.

Some great fighters, some famous but bad/old fighters, some drama and comedy, fighters can act and speak freely (to a certain degree). This is more than WWE, this has potential to become the new Pride in a few years. So refreshing.

Well if you like watching TNA and WWE you'll like the new Bellator. Sorry but I like watching real fights not staged stuff like the BS Friday night with Tito.

Pathetic. Maybe this is why they got rid of solid fighters like Dez Green, Atilla Veigh, and Shamhalaev... wanted to be fighters instead of WWE wannabes.

That was incredibly strange when Tito and bonnar were trying to act i was very confused and would not like MMA to go that route
