All the fighters look strong, happy, and healthy. You get to see what some of the fighters look like rehydrated and healthy. At first i was skeptical but then when i seen how the fighters looked i was like okay i like this. Fighters like Ricardo Lamas look very huge. I think every athletic commission should adopt this format. Thoughts ?

Was this strictly for CA? Is there talks of other comissions doing this?

The strip downs are a little corny, minus the chicks with the smokin derrieres.

They should do it like media day staredowns or they should actually weigh the fighters again. The current format is just silly.

And their coat is shiny too.

Good thread, hopefully it catches on.

It was too WWE like. It was a fake weigh in. What was the point?

Not really, the stripping and posing on the scale are now fake and pointless, the fighters are well hydrated and calm, yes they aren't physically drained, but they're also not angry or under emotional stress, therefore I would argue that confrontations and scuffles are less likely to happen.

It's also interesting to see the different physiques fighters have during weight cut, some are ghastly, some are sexier, some need to strip butt naked, and some look exactly the same. Now we only get to see the regular version and mayhaps a glimpse in the embedded videos. Variety is the spice of life.

You can't even pretend it's not a homosexual pastime to watch the weigh-ins anymore. There is no purpose. You used to be able to watch to see how bad their weight cut was and to see if they made weight. Now it's just a bunch of guys coming out, stripping, and staring at each other. We already know by that point if they made weight or if they passed out in the sauna. We learn nothing from the new "weigh-ins" other than what color their underwear is.

Ha gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

It's great because it's great for the health of our beloved fighters, so I'm all for it!

Why don't they just film it in the morning?
Idk i ask myself the same question. I know its a little weird cause your used to the old format but in time everyone will learn to love it and get used to it.
