I remember hearing that he was not cut by UFC, and that he had 4 fight deal and he did not re-sign with UFC. He is fighting in Bellator this weekend.

For american standards, no doubt. For brazilians it is not bad at all, considering the current exchange rates.
I doubt any brazilian fighter would leave the UFC voluntarily.
