I knew Jon Jones was something very special early vs Stephan Bonnar

It was not only about winning and in fact he won that fight on points but it was the display of technique that caught my eye.

Flying knees, Spining elbows, spining back fists, suplex'es, spinning kicks and all sorts of Judo trips and throws etc etc. he was throwing moves I personally haven't seen in the octagon before only on manuals.

In the first 2 rounds it was like watching a freaking MMA dictionary fighting Bonnar and the dictionary was testing different tools

Ya you knew he was special, but I remember I tried denying it.

It hurt watching him go through Rampage, Shogun, and Machida. But once he did I knew he was special and I couldn't deny him anymore.

I don't see any young guys that I look at and I know they run through a division. All these guys have holes.

Jones used Bonnar like those punching bags with arms sticking out.

If you can ragdoll a juicer like Bonnar around, you're probably on better juice.

you are really looking for validation tonight aren't you.

I knew he was ON something very special..

I mean it didn't take a savant to do so. I remember thinking he would be champion as soon as I saw him, and yes, I picked him against Shogun as well. Little did we know, he is a cheating piece of trash.

he managed a decision and was probably on the juice. No not that great.

Jones fought a bunch of guys who were over the hill and he still needed the juice. His wins against guys like Rampage and Vitor were jokes. Squeaked by Gus thanks to the roids.

He DQd himself from any GOAT talks and even if he hadn't, DC has passed him with ease now.

DC's wins over Stipe, Rumbe X2 and even Volkan are better than any of Jon's wins.

It was never about the win for me in that fight. But just the display of technique
And how many times were you wrong about a fighter? At one point I thought Jimmy Hettes was gonna be a world beater

You're not saying much. Most people were pretty hyped on Jones at that point.
