I keep getting logged out

that's the thing tho it works for a bit then says fuck it and logs of after a while anyway. Because I used that a couple times I assumed it would actually stay logged in, but it somehow unchecks itself. I get the same problem with a few sites. 2 sportsbooks in particular
 
I have to log back in pretty much every post I make. WTF?
 
It's most likely caused by a browser addon, privacy or security setting. Users should disable their addons, reset their browser to default settings, and make sure their security software isn't preventing cookies from being written to their device.
 
Server lag could also cause this issue.

I'll do some testing with my browser to see if I can nail down a cause
 
Seems like you type post and take too much time than the new website modification allows, it'll say must be logged in for that, then log in, and it gives the "logging in" button, you press that and it posts.

Isn't there a log of what changes were made to the website and when, then if something gets screwy, the smart people can go back and examine the changed part?

yes. it's still happening for me when I don't click the stay logged in box.

Not a website issue, it's a browser issue with certain users depending on their configuration.
Gimme a bit to try and lock down a definite trigger for it.

My browser and browser settings are the same before and after this time limit auto-logout problem. It's not my browser.
 
This is actually affecting me lately, too... I constantly have to log back in.. like 100x a day... i did all of the usual troubleshooting & what was recommended in this thread.
 
I think it has something to do with the homepage/Fight Finder. Whenever I click on the FF, the page loads twice and then some message about cookies comes up. I usually get logged off of the forums after that.

I've been having the same problem for a couple weeks now. I keep thinking "they'll get it fixed soon". But, alas, finally got annoyed enough that I came to Support and found this thread.

The whole front page loading shit-show has been going on even longer. I just got to the point where I said "fuck the Sherdog articles and vids" and jumped straight to the forums.

But now the necessity for repeated log-ins has made even the forum usage a time consuming pain in the ass.

FYI to Admins: This is how you lose traffic and loyal site members. Please get some good minds working on these problems. Thanks.

For the longest time since this problem started, I've been checking the stay logged in box when logging in. Seems to prevent having to keep logging in in a session.

I prefer they go with: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
 
Happens to me on my PC using Chrome. Does not happen on mobile device (chrome or safari).

I was just about to post about the exact same problem. I was worried I was hacked or something at first

Shouldn't Sherdog adjust around our settings not vice versa? :D I take it that IT is working on a fix?

Well this was from April bud. I am in the habit of clicking the stay logged in now but I just logged out and logged back in without clicking it. Back when I was having the troubles I'd be logged out within a minute.

so really by the time I was done typing that first response to you it would tell me that I had to be logged in for that. It seems I'm not having the same issue now even without clicking the stay logged in box.

this isn't happening to me anymore. I tested it out without clicking that box.
