-those that say that Cormier sucks at stand up and can't bang with a HW but will only wrestle and stall..knows shit nothing.

-Cormier's boxing is very underrated

I'm part of the minority that think Stipe is better than Bigfoot on the feet.

It ensures that that fight will have a false, lasting impression on people like TS who thinks people don't age or stay the same after leaving a very different weightclass for half a decade.

"I'm not going to have trouble standing with Stipe. I knocked out Bigfoot."

Basically 0% chance Cormier says this.

Can you imagine?

DC fights and wins the HW title. Goes back down and defends at LHW against Gus, then defends at HW against Volkov or something? Finishing out his career fighting two giants would be spectacular, especially if he won.

Who has said that? It's just not as good as Stipes, but its up to par with most of the heavyweights who rely on mass rather than technique.

Big Foot Silva was huge and dangerous but not on Stipe's level at all.

I think DC will beat Stipe but he is a fool if he listens to fans who think he will win by trying to outbox Stipe. DC's striking should only be just barely fast and good enough to get some clinches off to get him a decision win, maybe set up a few take downs for points. Otherwise Stipe will drop him after enough exchanges

I have no idea how a fight with Stipe will go.
But ffs, HW Cormier is WAY more dangerous than Ngannou. He has power, technique and gas tank for weeks.

How does one train for Cormier? It's like your sparring partner needs to be 5 foot 9 and very quick, but your wrestling partner needs to be 250 lbs and strong. I don't think there's a lot of guys running around that are both...

I've always been a huge Cormier fan. I laud him for having the guts to go up to HW and fight Stipe. But let's face it, he's a huge underdog n this fight.

I feel DC will employ the same gameplan against Stipe with the one he used against Rumble. He will smother Stipe and get the sub in the later rounds. Stiopic is a good wrestler but DC is on another level.
