Last night my old friend Alistair Overeem visited KSW 71 to support his teammate Errol Zimmerman for his fight along with fellow teammate Arek Wrzosek.



I was watching the MMA event live and as the broadcast progressed the camera switched from Errol Zimmerman’s fight to the crowd, and that was when I realized Reem brought a special guest with him on his trip to Poland

She’s sitting next to Arek Wrzosek (Alistair was cornering Errol Zimmerman for his fight at that moment) and I instantly recognized her from my training with Overeem last month.
I couldn’t let my Sherbro’s miss out on this, so I’ve captured some of the action from my television for you guys













I want to thank the cameraman for providing these nice shots

After all this might be the biggest W of Alistair’s legendary career! What a man!!

… and he’s a really nice guy!
I also got to train with him and learned some nice things from the Reem.
He told me he’ll be making his Glory Kickboxing debut in September, potentially against Badr Hari as far as I could judge.

Yesterday I was told that Alistair broke up with his wife and is now officially in a relationship with the girl in the back of the photo of me and Alistair / the girl in my AV.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately hahah) I didn’t get to spar Alistair.
I participated in a seminar of him where he really gave me close and thoughtful attention, working on combo’s and stuff, which was really cool and educational.
He also complimented me on my hooks, especially my lead hook, which was a pleasure coming from a legend like Reem.
He did try a standing guillotine on me, and man you’re not going to escape from one of his<45>

And is Overeem really known for being an asshole in sparring? He always seems nice and likeable to me.

story goes that at some point years ago Jones started to wonder how he would do at HW so he invited Overeem over to do some sparring rounds and Overeem was asked to leave. Basically we have Overeem to "thank" for Jones not wanting to go to HW
