I just found Werdum's interview before he fought Fedor.

Very respectful. I'm glad it was Werdum to be the first to beat him.

All 3 guys that beat him were very respectful before and after the fight.

I love these kind of fights, where fighters show respect and then go in and try to beat the sh*t out of each other.

No trash talk needed.

I know, I know Titanic, ble ble ble.

But I've never seen this interview.

It's also cool to see how Werdum knows that he can beat anybody. He is a very brave fighter.

I can't wait for his fight with Stipe.

"I know it’s going to be hard but I know that I can [beat Fedor]," he explains.

Although he is confident about his chances this weekend, Werdum has no illusions of grandeur.

"If I beat Fedor on that night, I’m better than him that night. I don’t consider myself better than anybody else," he says. "I just know that I have a place on the top. I think to beat Fedor is like having 10 belts in the house."

Fedor never lost, lucky submission,he is still the champ

That's why his win over Fedor didn't make me salty instead I became a fan of him.

When he beated Fedor, Fedor was already done...

Did the exact same to me. Didn't transfer my allegiance, but very much respect him and hope he continues to do well.

i remember when they interviewed him in the cage after and he said " Tonight I win, but Fedor is the best "

Fedor wasn't properly motivated in that fight, he's still the champ...

"fedor da bess,he still da bess" - Werdum

They confiscated Fedor's kettlebell in the airport, thought it was a bomb, still undefeated.

I will always remember this fight by a story from a local fan who was at holidays with his wife at the time.
He put all their money on Fedor wanting to make a quick 10% and surprise wife with a fancy dinner...

:D

He lost all 3 fair and square and he deserved to lose too. He brought it in all these fights, but he deserved to lose, because he had no patience.

I loved it when he was younger and he just kept beating the sh*t out of Minotauro when he hurt him instead of going for the kill without a second thought.

He did that with Monson too, once he took his sh*t together.

His composure was allways one of my favorite things about him. I hated it when he became a head hunter.

Exactly.

I'm not butthurt by either of his losses, because all 3 guys showed proper respect. Before and after the fight.

I am a bit butthurt because Conor talked so much sh*t about the GOAT FW and then managed to do exactly what he predicted:)

Good thing I barely care about fights under MW, but Conor KOing Aldo so quickly, just doesn't seem right to me. Kind of like, sh*t man, where is justice here?:D

He wasn't done. He was still awesome. He just wasn't at his best anymore. For a while.

He wasn't a zombie by any means. In any of his fights. He just wasn't in his prime anymore and he rushed too much.

It's impossible not to like him: Funny, respectful, takes nothing too seriously, especially not himself, great fighter but always the underdog, doesn't even care about Dana shitting on him, beat Browne like a redheaded stepchild. Werdum's just great.

Well, it's true.

You don't beat the GOAT and take his status. You honor him and try to take his status by achieving more than him, which means many many defences of the nr. 1 position.

I liked how Fedor showed respect to Coleman.

He honored him both times. Because he influenced him and influenced the sport.

I don't like him, so it's not impossible.
