It's not the amount that's the problem here. It's the precedent. If they give an disclosed payday that big, it sets a standard. More fighters will start demanding pay increases, etc. And it would begin immediately. Nate would turn around and demand more himself.

Conor may be an ass, but he's fighting the good fight here. It's shit like this that needs to happen to get a change going. The reason the UFC loves the "backroom bonuses" is because they can keep managers and fighters in the dark. But an disclosed pay of $10 mil? That's different, and significant.
