Admittedly even after all the devastating losses, I've always believed Shogun could still be a force to be reckon by adapting to his impaired mobility and improving on his tight boxing.

but after this last fight, I finally realized how slow, lethargic, nonathletic and chinny he is now. His movements seemed labored and overall sloppy and it seemed like he didn't even want to be in there but to collect a paycheck.

Would you want to see Shogun in another fight? At this point, I'd rather not see it.

I am finally ready to accept shogun needs to retire tomoro morning

I would really, really prefer Shogun never fight again. His last three losses have all been brutal beatdowns.

But, it's his life. Not gonna lie, if he's fighting I'm watching. The guy is rarely in a boring fight one way or another.

Shogun is literally MORE THAN 10 years removed from his prime

When you consider that, its actually astonishing hes still around at UFC level.

He looked better against Gian but man he looked stiff as fuck in there.

I'd only like to see him fight another legend if he chooses to continue.

That was tough to watch on Saturday...

He's been that way for years. Look at how slow and lethargic he was in the first Hendo fight in 2011. It was a great fight but really slow and sloppy. I remember watching it thinking how terrible they looked compared to Jones at the time. And they were ranked just below him.

Give him one more fight against someone like Anderson Silva and then call it a career.

give him some cans

Have Sho-none cut to 185 so CM Punk can bulk up and get a win.

For the past few years Shogun has looked like he's throwing strikes underwater. Not sure why his last fight looked any different then his past few aside from Smith having heavy hands.

I hope this loss finally puts the "Shogun can win the title again" threads to rest.

I don't know, it just seems like this last fight he just looks unbelievably more shot than his previous appearances.

His huge overhand right early in the round just screams "I just to this to end as fast as possible, I don't want to be here anymore"

Shogun was champion 8 years ago... That's an eternity in sports.

I really like Shogun and have watched his entire career, but didn't think he had it in him to go on another title run. I wish he'd retire as I don't want him to live the second half of his life with serious brain damage.
