I have a question about Infinity Stones

I just saw Jumanji II: Welcome to the Jungle. It was a good movie but the badguy got a hold of the green infinity gem. Here's where things get weird, when Dr. Strange had the time stone it could control time, but in Jumanji the badguy could control the minds of animals? He should have had the yellow stone for that, cause that's the mind stone. How is he controlling animals with the time stone and furthermore how did he get this from Dr. Strange ??? I can't wait to see Thanos kick his ass tho, creepy weird animal lovin guy
