I hate you for telling me the ROAD HOUSE remake with Conor was crap

It was not good. The CGI fight scenes were a joke and Conor just playing himself was just as annoying as his real life persona. The music sucked too.

Seeing that flick was sad - it was nowhere as good as the original. Conor did fine imho.

Whoever used the term "Remake" was crooked, new one was an insult to movie fans.

It is absolute fucking dog shit. One of the worst films I've seen in years. Gyllenhaal has no charisma and is a walking, talking piece of sand paper in the movie.

The music pales in comparison to the original. The comedy doesn't work. The love interest is nondescript and not that hot. McGregor is a caricature and far from menacing. The fight scenes are stupid. The ending is idiotic.

Doug Liman made two good Bourne movies; Go; the Edge of Tomorrow; and Swingers. This is quite possibly the worst film he's directed. Pure shite.
It’s another movie made for gen Z , unfunny stuff , bad score/ music , no character development, action to over the top it becomes goofy for what’s supposed to be a somewhat grounded flick , horrible dialogue.

Yes the fight scenes were good but if that’s all a movie has it has no actual purpose . Lol

It was crap. The original sucks, too.
Come on now Swayze, Ben Gazzara , Jeff Healy , Kelly Lynch , Sam Elliot and it even had the guy who did Cobra Commander's voice the big guy who got pissed at the bar when the guy didn’t have 20 dollars after feeling up his girls breasts . Lol

It was campy in spots but that’s a movie where humor fit it wasn’t forced like the new movie was a train wreck .

The original was dog shit too
Yeah, this is something some people really cant accept. The movie is good because its so bad. I remember one dude on here, forget who, was actually trying to argue the fight scenes in the original were better. I get not liking the remake but come on, bros.

It’s a fighting movie, it doesn’t have to be that deep

I get why people like it. It's bad enough to be fun. But it's bad.

Having said that, I'm glad it gave Jeff Healey some exposure. Back in the '90' and early '00's, I worked in the entertainment biz and met him when he was playing at Lee's Palace and the Tranzac Club in Toronto, two venues I used to use for events. He opened his own (amazing) club a while later. He was a very friendly and down to earth guy.

But it can still be good. It isn't.
the way I see it, if you're ok watching low brained content for entertainment, then it delivers, like the rocky movies or even the original Roadhouse, which is not exactly peak drama

I agree. This doesn't deliver. I can't tell you guys who think this movie is good that you're wrong, I can only tell you that I disagree with you. Quality is subjective. I think this movie is straight ass.

I finally watched it and absolutely enjoyed it. The fights were cool and Conor was fucking funny, reminded me of a barbarian version of Chev Chelios. I would absolutely watch a sequel.

Sherdog doesn't disappoint me too often with how you guys trash or praise a movie - the overall consensus kinda adds up, but this one was way off base. It's an entertaining little action flick, extremely well choreographed and nicely shot. Jake Gyllenhaal I also expected to come off as some sissy poser trying to be a bad ass, but the way they wrote his character and the way he played him made enough sense to disappear into the escapism of it all.
Well I thought the Conor character was awesome, he killed it.

But the Gyllenhall was the worst character in recent memory it was painful to watch. Overall movie was shit
