I dont follow the comics,. but I saw this on my Youtube feed. I guess it's over after like 90 years. Batman died along with Joker and Catwoman in the comics.'

Kind of a shitty way to end an icon.

I'm a nerd and I frequently re-read comics. I coincidentally read that story just yesterday. It was a good one but highlights one of the things I hate about the Batman stories in particular: the Joker. He's a completely insane murderous psychopath but he has no special abilities. If I'm in the Bat-verse and come in contact with Joker, I'm doing everything in my power to kill him. No warning, no mercy, as if my life and the lives of everyone I love depends on it. Because they do. If there was ever an excuse to shoot first and ask questions later, he's all of them. And that's before you consider other bad guys, if I was a super-baddie, or even a henchman with a gun, I'd take him out too. Cuz he's going to do it to you first chance he gets.

Anyway, Batman doesn't die.

No part of that video showed Batman definitively dying lol. The church came down due to an explosion, he could've done a variety of things to survive. It's comics.

They should. They deserve a dignified end, not to be dragged forever into zombiehood slave to whatever cultural mores exist at a certain point in time.

No, it makes no sense to end him. The character must make them a fortune, last 10 years or so feels like everyone is obsessed with batman.

Traditional superhero comics are so strange to me. I understand why my 8-12yr old self was into them but maaaaan, as an adult idk dude. I love lots of Shōnen manga, but even those seem more mature and nuanced oftentimes than any Batman, Superman, spider man, etc.

The best time to stop reading Batman was 25 ur ago, but the second best time is right now baby

The 12 year old me thought manga was dumb the 40 year old me still thinks that way but idk dude I don’t think liking it is strange.
