Not a weakness that can be taken advantage of per se...
But Jones' jits is not that great..... yet.

Him pulling guard is just him being playful with nothing to lose 'cos nothing can happen within that 10 seconds. But at the same time, he's no Anthony Pettis who can actually pull guard and get the tap.

Someone tell Greg Jackson he's fired and TS is replacing him.

You should be payed for your analysis.

His weaknesses are:
1) Poor head movement
2) Responds bad to pressure and has a tendency to back-peddle when pursued.

Cormier took advantage of those in round two by stalking him down and landing big uppercuts to the face, but he didn't have the cardio to maintain the kind of pace needed to throw Jones off his game.

Calling it now, the man to beat Jones will be Cain motherfuckin Velasquez.

Not sure. I think Jones is more durable than Cain.

He was hit with a jab-cross often in the Cormier fight (at least in the first three rounds). Problem is how are you going to get enough opportunities to do this and capitalize. You have to get past knee stabs, extended fingers, hellbows, and counter-takedowns.

It is also possible to knock him out, that is for sure a weakness.

Cormier said that he was very surprised how Jones fought moving backwards and still countering. That part pretty much improved drastically.

It's clearly his boxing. Without his ability to keep range, suddenly and drastically changing it with spinning shit, elbows and other odd shit he throws JJ is a poor boxer.

Freakin' LOL @ all of this!!

:icon_lol:

Why is everyone so high on one-shoulder Velasquez?

No way. Jones is tough but Cain took Shots from JDS. I could be wrong but I cannot recall anyone punching Jones as hard as JDS can.

Yeah Cormier was effective with his jab. But didn't use it much.

The most obvious way to beat jones is to Jon Jones , Jon Jones.
Eyepoke , Eyepoke , kick to the knee Eyepoke . Then get in close hold his gloves and if he gets out of that ,hold the fence a bit ,then groin shot and Eyepoke your way to a dominant UD

while Jones just stand there and watch you do all that, right?

After this last fight he really didn't show a lot of weaknesses. He fought DC's fight and won.

His boxing is clearly his weakness. His BJJ is irrelevant because no one can hold him down long enough to test it.
